WOW and the other 140 ?

US Secretary of State Colin Powell said today that 45 nations backed the United States in the coalition that may soon go to war with Iraq. Journalists 'won't be allowed to report during first wave of Iraq raids'

JOURNALISTS face a total news blackout for up to 24 hours, with the launch of any attack on Iraq.

The aim is to stop the Iraqi regime being alerted to the first wave of attacks before they happen, by international news agencies, particularly television.

It means the public may only learn the war has started when the blackout has been lifted.

This may last from anywhere from two to 24 hours, depending on the situation at the time.

Army Web server hacked

A hacker last week exploited a previously unknown vulnerability in Microsoft Corp.'s Windows 2000 operating system to gain control of an Army Web server, and the extent of the damage done is still unknown.

Russ Cooper, surgeon general at TruSecure Corp. — a provider of managed security services -- said the hacker used an attack code to operate the Army system as if he or she had the highest security clearance and therefore was able to gain complete control of the system.
