Bush sends $75bn bill for war

President Bush has sent Congress a request for $74.7bn (£47.5bn) to pay for the first six months of the war.

Speaking at the Pentagon, Mr Bush said that America accepts the cost of supporting the military, and asked Congress for the freedom to spend much of the money as he wished due to the "fluid" nature of the war.

Al-Qaida message aids Iraq
Terrorist network offers information on defeating U.S. forces

NBC News has obtained a copy of a message from the al-Qaida terrorist network to Muslims in Iraq, a message that is, in effect, a military playbook on how to defeat Americans. THE MESSAGE obtained by NBC News is in Arabic, and is addressed to “our brothers in Iraq.” It is written by Saif Al-Adel, the security chief for Osama Bin Laden, said to be the mastermind for the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on New York City, Washington, D.C., and Pennsylvania. Al-Adel is believed to be the third highest al-Qaida official alive and on the run.

Cooking Iraq's Computers

War with Iraq may allow the United States to debut a new -- and perhaps revolutionary -- class of weapons that can cripple an enemy's ability to fight without harming people or destroying buildings.

They are known collectively as "high-powered microwave weapons" (HPM) and use bursts of electromagnetic energy, delivered by low-impact bombs or "ray gun"-like devices, to disable or destroy the electronics that control everything from an enemy's radar to its laptops.

Why You Should Never Wear Red In A Casino

A lady in red is a welcome visitor to any casino -- though she may not like the reason why.

It seems the security cameras that casinos rely on for catching cheaters have the side-effect of seeing right through any clothing colored red.

Company shows 'cloned baby'

A company claiming to have created the world's first cloned babies has distributed a photograph of one of the "clones" for the first time. Clonaid said a picture of an infant in an incubator published on its website showed the third of five babies supposedly cloned since December.

Many scientists have dismissed Clonaid's claim that any babies were ever cloned at all, pointing to the absence of DNA proof.
