Third Ship Hits Sunken Tricolor in English Channel
he wreck of jinxed car carrier the Tricolor, which has already been hit by two ships since it sank in the English Channel in December, has done it again -- this time colliding with a salvage tug.
Dutch-based Smit Salvage, contracted to remove oil from the partially submerged ship, said on Friday one of its tugs hit the partially submerged wreck and cracked the Tricolor's hull in bad weather on Wednesday.

ATMs, ISPs hit by Slammer worm spread
The bandwidth-crunching Slammer worm caused all manner of damage since its appearance on the Net in the early hours of Saturday morning.
On Saturday, the spread of the worm was so severe that the majority of Bank of America's 13,000 automatic teller machines "were unable to process customer transactions", the Washington Post reports. The paper quotes the bank saying it was able to restore services on Saturday evening but a Seattle-based Reg reader tells us he was "unable to make a deposit to my Bank of America Account on Sunday at about noon Pacific time".

800 missiles to hit Iraq in first 48 hours
The US intends to shatter Iraq "physically, emotionally and psychologically" by raining down on its people as many as 800 cruise missiles in two days.
The Pentagon battle plan aims not only to crush Iraqi troops, but also wipe out power and water supplies in the capital, Baghdad.

Spinning tops that do battle in the school playground have been named the UK's biggest toy by retailers. he tops, called Beyblades originated in Japan but have become a craze among youngsters around the world over the past two years.
The British Association of Toy Retailers (BATR) named the product, which is made by US giant Hasbro, as the toy that made the biggest impact on the UK industry in 2002.
