Ein Polizist hat in Leipzig im Einsatz seine Maschinenpistole verloren. Am Freitag sei mit Hochdruck nach der Waffe gesucht worden - zunächst jedoch erfolglos, wie Polizeisprecher Uwe Voigt sagte. Der Beamte sei am Donnerstagabend zu einem Einsatz wegen eines vermeintlichen Raubes an einer Tankstelle im Plattenbauviertel Grünau gerufen worden. Nach dessen Ende habe er ordnungsgemäß seine Ausrüstungsgegenstände überprüft - und dabei das Fehlen der Maschinenpistole festgestellt. Es handelt sich um eine Waffe des Typs Heckler & Koch MP5.

(Abi-Habib confirmed to Motherboard that the Facebook account was hers, but declined to comment further.)

FBI gives up on DB Cooper case after 45-year investigation


The FBI has closed the books on their 45-year hunt for skyjacker D.B. Cooper. Seattle FBI Special Agent in Charge Frank Montoya Jr. said it was his decision to halt the investigation. He said that he notified counterparts in Washington D.C., former agents and others directly impacted by the case before making the announcement.
