Tödliche Droge? Zwei Männer rauchten einen Joint. Kurz danach starben sie. Rechtsmediziner aus Düsseldorf vermuten einen Zusammenhang. Der lässt sich aber nicht beweisen.
40 Minuten haben sie versucht ihn wiederzubeleben, doch der 23-Jährige starb. Er war plötzlich zusammengebrochen, in Bus oder Bahn. Äußerlich wirkte er gesund, war athletisch gebaut. Ähnlich der 28-Jährige, den seine Freundin morgens tot in seiner Wohnung fand. Keine bekannten Erkrankungen, körperlich fit. Was hat die Männer getötet?
Das Einzige, was sie verbindet: Beide hatten gekifft, ehe ihre Herzen versagten. Der Erste trug etwas Marihuana bei sich, neben dem Zweiten fand die Polizei Aschenbecher, Zigarettenblättchen und eine Plastiktüte mit Grasresten. Totgekifft, schreibt nun Bild.de, weitere Medien berichten von den ersten Belegen, dass Cannabis töten kann. Sie irren.

A few weeks ago, Glenn Greenwald, while working with NBC News, revealed some details of a GCHQ presentation concerning how the surveillance organization had a "dirty tricks" group known as JTRIG -- the Joint Threat Research Intelligence Group. Now, over at The Intercept, he's revealed the entire presentation and highlighted more details about how JTRIG would seek to infiltrate different groups online and destroy people's reputations -- going way, way, way beyond just targeting terrorist groups and threats to national security.

Per aufgezeichneter Videobotschaft oder interaktiv? – hat sich der Innen- und Justizausschuss des Europaparlaments endlich über ein Vorgehen geeinigt. Die Abgeordneten des Ausschusses haben am Montag mehrheitlich entschieden, Edward Snowden schriftlich zu befragen. Dazu hatte sich Snowden vor etwa zwei Wochen bereiterklärt.

Deutscher Chef-Drogenfahnder verhaftet
Der Leiter der Drogenfahndung in Kempten ist nach Informationen der "Augsburger Allgemeinen" wegen des Besitzes von 1,5 Kilogramm Kokain verhaftet worden. Der 52-Jährige sitze seit einer Woche in Untersuchungshaft, berichtet die Zeitung (Samstag). Die Staatsanwaltschaft in München bestätigte auf Anfrage, dass ein Polizist wegen Besitzes von Rauschgift in U-Haft sei.

Citizens Initiative Underway To Legalize Cannabis In The European Union
A citizens initiative to legalize cannabis in the European Union is underway, with advocates needing to collect 1 million signatures from 7 member states within a 12 month period.
Advocates of the initiative – which was approved by the government in November – officially began their signature gathering campaign this week. If advocates are successful in gathering enough signatures, the measure would be put to a vote next year.

Ein französischer Aktivist fand mit Google Dokumente in einem ungesicherten Behördennetz und lud sie herunter. Dafür wurde er verurteilt – ein gefährlicher Präzedenzfall.
Im August 2012 führte der französische Aktivist Olivier Laurelli eine Google-Suche durch, die er später in seinem Blog als die "vermutlich teuerste in der bisherigen Geschichte Googles" bezeichnen sollte. Er hatte nach "Informationen zur aktuellen Situation in Syrien" gesucht und einen Link angeklickt, der ihn ins Extranet der französischen Behörde "Anses" führte (Agence nationale de securité sanitaire de l’alimentation, de l’environment et et du travail, auf Deutsch: Nationale Behörde für Lebensmittel-, Umwelt- und Arbeitssicherheit). Ein Extranet ist die Erweiterung eines firmen- oder behördeneigenen Intranets, das nur für bestimmte externe Nutzer zugänglich ist – beziehungsweise sein sollte.

Fox has set an airdate for the all-LEGO episode of The Simpsons it has constructed.
The animated series’ 550th episode, titled “Brick Like Me,” will air Sunday, May 4 (aka the second Sunday of May sweeps, which this year starts on April 24).
