NSA bastelt an der Automatisierung von Unsicherheit – Malware in industriellem Maßstab
Die NSA arbeitet zusammen mit dem britischen GCHQ an einer industriellen Automatisierung von Malware. Das belegen neue Enthüllungen aus dem Fundus von Edward Snowden über die Glenn Greenwald bei TheIntercept berichtet: How the NSA Plans to Infect “Millions” of Computers with Malware
Die Existenz der Tailored Access Operations (TAO), einer speziellen Abteilung bzw. Einheit der NSA zur geheimdienstlichen Aufklärung durch Infiltration ausländischer Rechner und Netzwerke, war schon länger bekannt. Mittlerweile gibt es aber von verschiedenen Quellen neue Informationen, die das Gesamtbild etwas mehr vervollständigen. So weiß man mittlerweile, dass TAO 1997 gegründet wurde und mittlerweile mehr als 1000 Mitarbeiter hat – sowohl vom Militär als auch Zivilisten. Diese arbeiten rund um die Uhr in mehreren Schichten.

Heute vor einem Viertel Jahrhundert veröffentlichte Tim Berners Lee sein Information Management-Proposal am CERN. Das Paper basierte auf seiner Enquire-Software, eine frühe Form von Hypertext und in seinem Vorschlag nahm die Beschreibung der Link-Mechanik eine ganz zentrale Rolle ein, sie ist bis heute der Kern des Webs (weshalb ich bei Worten wie „Linkschleuder“ immer ein bisschen schmunzeln muss).

Jugendliche sollen bei Hypo-Rettung so "ein bisschen mitziehen dürfen"
Wien/Linz - Die oberösterreichische Vorsitzende der Sozialistischen Jugend (SJ), Fiona Kaiser, fordert angesichts des Hypo-Debakels die Legalisierung weicher Drogen. Die beiden Themen haben ihrer Ansicht nach mehr miteinander zu tun, als man denken möchte - sie erhofft sich nämlich Steuereinnahmen aus dem Hasch-Verkauf, die helfen könnten, das Geld ins Budget zu spülen.

Mehr als die Hälfte der Coffeeshops im Stadtzentrum werden geschlossen
Nach über 40 Jahren droht der Kifferidylle in der niederländischen Hauptstadt das Aus. Amsterdam will sein Image als Drogen-Paradies loswerden. Im Zentrum der Stadt werden die Hälfte der 78 Coffeeshops geschlossen, einige sind bereits dicht. Viele Coffeeshops stehen vor der Zwangsschließung.

Barber refusing service to people who smell like marijuana
A barber shop in Greeley, Colorado is refusing service to people who smell like marijuana. The owner of Hugo’s Barber Shop said he felt he had to step in when it got bad.
“I feel that it’s my right to make the statement. It’s the same thing as no shoes no service,” said shop owner Hugo Corral. His policy has to do with people who come in reeking of marijuana. Corral said he has no problem with those who chose to use marijuana and even calls himself a supporter of the industry.

Nearly two tons of hash washes up on Spanish beach
Spanish authorities seized 62 bales containing close to two tons of hashish that washed ashore on Monday on a beach in one of Spain’s exclaves in North Africa, police said.
Officers on a routine patrol spotted several bales at the Calamocarro beach just outside Ceuta, which lies across the Strait of Gibraltar from mainland Spain and is surrounded by Morocco, police said in a statement.

Colorado verdient zwei Millionen Dollar an Marihuana
Seit Jahresbeginn dürfen Colorados Bürger legal Cannabis kaufen. Die Drogengeschäfte brachten dem US-Staat allein im Januar zwei Millionen Dollar an Steuergeldern ein.
Seit dem 1. Januar dürfen im US-Staat Colorado Bürger über 21 Jahre legal Marihuana kaufen und konsumieren. Durch Drogengeschäfte mit Konsumenten hat der Staat allein im Januar rund zwei Millionen US-Dollar (1,4 Mio Euro) an Steuergeldern eingenommen.
Wie die Steuerbehörde mitteilte, wurde in dem Zeitraum Cannabis für mehr als 14 Millionen Dollar (10,1 Mio Euro) an die Kunden gebracht. Inzwischen gibt es in Colorado rund 160 lizenzierte Geschäfte, in denen Marihuana verkauft werden darf. Der Staat kassiert dabei 12,9 Prozent Umsatzsteuer und 15 Prozent Gewerbesteuer.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy game embarks on its next chapter on Saturday with the launch of a new online game.
