Polizisten raubten aus Frust
Zwei Bundesbeamte haben ab Dezember des Jahres 2009 mehrfach Vietnamesen angegriffen und ihnen Geld abgenommen. Ende Februar wurden die Polizisten festgenommen. Der Richter machte kein Hehl aus seiner Fassungslosigkeit beim Lesen der Anklage.

Russisches Raumschiff verfehlt ISS
Außer Kontrolle: Ein russischer Weltallfrachter sollte der Internationalen Raumstation ISS Proviant bringen, flog aber drei Kilometer am Ziel vorbei. Kurz vorm Andocken versagte offenbar der Autopilot, jetzt wird der Fehler gesucht.
Washington/Moskau - Ein unbemannter Versorgungstransporter ist kurz vor dem Andocken an die Internationale Raumstation ISS außer Kontrolle geraten. Der russische Raumfrachter "Progress 38" habe die ISS bei seinem Anflug aus unbekanntem Grund um rund drei Kilometer verfehlt, teilte die US-Raumfahrtbehörde Nasa am Freitag mit.

Google buys air fare data firm
Google last night splashed out $700m (£460m) on a specialist aggregator of airline flight information, ITA Software, in a venture into travel data that is likely to set off competitive alarm bells among many online booking agencies such as Expedia, Orbitz and eBookers.
Google announced that it was buying Massachusetts-based ITA in order to make it easier for users of its search functions to find quick information about convenient flights and airfares, describing the move as "pro-competitive" and "pro-consumer".

Glastonbury Festival 2010
Last weekend in Glastonbury, England, on a site covering 1,000 acres, the 40th annual Glastonbury Festival was held at Worthy Farm. Started by a dairy farmer, Michael Evis in 1970 it has grown into the largest music festival in Europe. This year's headline acts on the main stage included Muse, Gorillaz and Stevie Wonder. Thousands of attendees were treated to a sunny weekend in the country with plenty to see, hear and experience. Collected here are 40 images from Glastonbury 2010 for its 40th anniversary. Talkshow-Legende Larry King hört auf
Er und seine Sendung gelten als Institutionen im Fernsehgeschäft, aber jetzt soll bald Schluss damit sein: CNN-Legende Larry King kündigte nun an, seine Talkshow nach mehr als 25 Jahren im Herbst einzustellen. Er wolle endlich mehr Zeit mit Frau und Kindern verbringen, begründete der 76-Jährige die Entscheidung. Hinter der Hand wird über andere Gründe gemunkelt. Seine Einschaltquoten stürzten zuletzt ab, das Publikum interessierte sich offenbar mehr für die Probleme Kings mit seiner achten Ehefrau.
