Cannabis in Österreich in breiter Bevölkerung angekommen

Architect extraordinaire Zaha Hadid has done it all. From dancing skyscrapers in Dubai to hidden Russian bungalows, from aerodynamic couches to aqua tables, she's brought her signature curved line to almost every nook and cranny of the design realm.

So it's not necessarily a surprise that the starchitect has recently ventured into an even more extravagant area -- the world of superyachts.

Latest Updates From Idiotic War On Drugs

A couple of stories today to remind everyone that the ongoing and idiotic War on Drugs is just an attempt to waste taxpayer money dismantling basic rights and freedoms. First, New York City:

Shingles, 28, said he, his cousin and another male pal were at the cousin’s East New York home in December 2011 when the plainclothes officers arrived demanding to perform a search, the suit states.

The cousin, Tyriek Fortune, was suspected of a criminal offense, the suit says, although it’s unclear exactly what the alleged crime was.

One of the cops, David Grieco, is already under investigation for illegal entries elsewhere.</p>

Researcher skepticism grows over badBIOS malware claims

Five days after Ars chronicled a security researcher's three-year odyssey investigating a mysterious piece of malware he dubbed badBIOS, some of his peers say they are still unable to reproduce his findings.

"I am getting increasingly skeptical due to the lack of evidence," fellow researcher Arrigo Triulzi told Ars after examining forensic data that Ruiu has turned over. "So either I am not as good as people say or there is really nothing."

Island of debris the size of TEXAS from 2011 Japanese tsunami is headed straight for the U.S.

A floating island of debris the size of Texas has been crossing the vast Pacific Ocean to the western shores of the Americas since a devastating tsunami inundated Japan in 2011, says a new study.

Five million tons of wreckage - the remains of homes, boats, and other remnants of shattered lives in eastern Japan - were swallowed by the ocean that day in March, and more than one million tons of flotsam continues to head towards the west coast of the US.

While the first documented debris from the tragedy has already been found in California, scientists fear these new findings mean there could be a lot more to come and it might arrive all at once.
