EU trade committee to vote this week on ACTA
Despite the fact that ACTA was seemingly on its deathbed just last month, the European Union’s International Trade Committee (INTA) is now set to meet this Thursday, June 21 in Brussels to give its recommendation to the European Parliament as a whole. This vote is the most significant in the run-up to what will eventually be the full vote before the European Parliament, which has slated it for a vote in July.
This, of course, is after the fact that four (count ‘em, four!) parliamentary committees have already rejected ratification of the international treaty. The controversial intellectual property treaty does not enter into force until six signatories have ratified it. So far, none have.

Um den Vormarsch der vermeintlichen gesünderen Süßstoffe zu stoppen, um den Begriff "zuckerfrei" in der allgemeinen Wahrnehmung mit dem Begriff "Chemie" zu verbinden.

Oliver Stone: 'Grass Is God's Gift'
Oliver Stone is making the rounds to promote his new movie, Savages, which is about the marijuana trade in California.
“I’m like Willie Nelson,” he tells the Hollywood Reporter. “I believe that grass is God’s gift. California makes the best in the world now. When I was a kid, it was Vietnamese, it was Thai, Jamaican for a while. All my life I’ve been doing it, off and on. I can stop marijuana. I can [go without it] for weeks and weeks. I’m not addicted, but I enjoy it. I also enjoy alcohol. Cocaine, I stay away from. But I believe in LSD, mescaline, mushrooms, ayahuasca. You ever heard of ayahuasca? It’s a very strong juice that comes from the rubber trees. Ecstasy is great, too.”
