After what seems like seven and a half million years, the film adaptation of Hitchhiker's is finally underway.

Flip-flopping is the last stage of trusting Bush.

I laughed the first time I heard President Bush tell that joke. Then, as he told it again and again, I began to think I'd heard it before. Not from Bush, but from somebody else. Finally I remembered: It's the litany Howard Dean and Dennis Kucinich kept repeating in the Democratic presidential primaries.

Gegen den zweimaligen Beschluss des Ständerates beantragt die Nationalratskommission ihrem Rat mit 13 zu 12 Stimmen, auf die Revision des Betäubungsmittelgesetzes erneut nicht einzutreten.
Folgt die grosse Kammer dem Antrag ihrer Kommission für soziale Sicherheit und Gesundheit (SGK), wird die Vorlage von der Geschäftsliste des Parlaments gestrichen. Beschliesst der Rat Eintreten, geht das Gesetz zur Detailberatung zurück an die Kommission.

Casting für eine Leiche
Ein Londoner Theater sucht einen Schauspieler, der nur ein Kriterium erfüllen muss: Zu Beginn der Aufführung soll er tot sein. Die experimentelle Theatertruppe 1157 will mit einem neuen Stück "mit einigen der Mysterien rund um den Tod aufräumen". Eine echte Leiche, die während der Aufführung auf der Bühne liegt, soll dabei helfen. Das Ensemble sucht jetzt in Hospizen nach einem Todkranken, der seinen Körper zur Verfügung stellt. Bis zur Premiere von "Tot: Du wirst es sein" im Mai muss ein Spender gefunden sein.

Sie haben eine Patina innerer und unangefochtener Werte angenommen und eine Gemende von wahren Gläubigen und Neubekehrten zu ihrer Förderung um sich versammelt. Sie möchten eine Version der Menschheit verwirklichen, für welche die Abstinenz von gewissen Drogen ein Dogma ist, und zwar auf gleiche Weise, wie andere religiöse Texte bestimmte Nahrungsmittel oder Aktivitäten verbieten können. Die UN Drogen-Abkommen bilden so die Basis der internationalen Anti-Drogen-Kirche. Die Zugehörigkeit zu dieser Kirche ist zu einer eigenständigen Quelle der Sicherheit geworden, der Kampf gegen die Feinde der Kirche zu einer automatischen Quelle der Tugend.
