Jesus 'healed using cannabis'
Jesus was almost certainly a cannabis user and an early proponent of the medicinal properties of the drug, according to a study of scriptural texts published this month. The study suggests that Jesus and his disciples used the drug to carry out miraculous healings.

Musiker, Kopierschutz und der P2P-Flaschengeist
Bereits zum dritten Mal treffen sich in Washington DC Musiker, Anwälte, Politiker, Vertreter der Internet-Wirtschaft und Manager von Plattenfirmen im Rahmen des jährlichen Future of Music Policy Summits. An insgesamt drei Tagen werden sie auf zahlreichen Panels über die Zukunft ihrer Krisen-geplagten Branche diskutieren. Organisiert wird diese Konferenz von der Future of Music Coalition, einer Nonprofit-Organisation, die sich als Interessenvertretung für Musiker in Zeiten der Digitalisierung versteht. Als wichtigen Bestandteil ihrer Arbeit begreift die Gruppe die Weiterbildung von Musikschaffenden in Sachen Internet, Arbeitsrecht und Medienpolitik. 200 Musiker wurden deshalb im Rahmen eines speziellen Stipendiums dazu eingeladen, kostenlos an der Konferenz teilzunehmen. Für die Kosten kommen Sponsoren auf, zu denen auch die Band Pearl Jam gehört.

Researcher Loren Coleman says that while the death of Bigfoot hoaxster Ray Wallace attracted most of the media attention, there were plenty of legitimate reports of strange undiscovered creatures.

Wir halten sie fest, aber noch fester halten sie uns: Die neuen Mobilfunkgeräte sind die Konsolen unserer immer piepsenden Leben. an ist ein nicht mehr ganz junger, noch nicht mittelalter Mann. Er hat Jura studiert, hat ein paar Jahre in Teheran und Hongkong verbracht, liebt Hollywood-Filme und hört am liebsten die Pet Shop Boys. Als ich ihn zirka 1995 fragte, wann er sich ein Handy anschaffen würde, antwortete er: „Handy? Du spinnst wohl! Wozu brauch ich ein Handy? Ich bin doch kein Notarzt!“

Murder victim in Camden flat identified by breast implants
A woman whose torso was found in the London flat of a double murder suspect has been identified as a 30-year-old prostitute from Nottinghamshire, it emerged yesterday.
The woman, who has not been named, lived in London and had not been reported missing before some of her remains were discovered in the home of Tony Hardy, the 51-year-old arrested on Thursday night following a two-day hunt.
