Haider rüstet für den Tag danach
Die Ankündigung kommt nicht überraschend und für die jetzige FPÖ-Führung im Wahlkampf doch nicht gelegen. Alt-FPÖ-Chef Haider verspricht ein Comeback in der Bundespolitik. Aber erst nach der Wahl. Und nur, wenn die FPÖ schlecht abschneidet. Haiders Begründung: Er lasse sich die FPÖ nicht von Schwächlingen ruinieren. Heftig teilt Haider gegen seine ehemaligen Weggefährten Westenthaler, Grasser und Riess-Passer aus.

A wave of mass hysteria seized thousands of radio listeners between 8:15 and 9:30 o'clock last night when a broadcast of a dramatization of H. G. Wells's fantasy, "The War of the Worlds," led thousands to believe that an interplanetary conflict had started with invading Martians spreading wide death and destruction in New Jersey and New York.

Tackling 'witch' murders in Tanzania
Communities in northern Tanzania along the shores of Lake Victoria are stepping up their efforts to eradicate the murder of old people, mainly women, who have been accused of witchcraft. The women often become targets of attacks when traditional healers identify them as the cause of an illness or other misfortune.

Magic meets science at witches' school
Today's witchcraft, teachers at the school on Klagenfurt, Austria, say, is just mainstream science applied in a different way.
"A witch is someone who looks holistically on life, who does life-counselling things. A witch serves to help humans," said Sonja Kulmitzer, 28, who runs the school with Starchel.

Saudi Arabia Takes Steps To Acquire Nuclear Weapons
Highly-reliable sources indicate that the Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has, since the beginning of October 2002, and possibly before, begun active efforts to acquire completed nuclear weapons.
It is known that Saudi officials had approached officials of the Government of Pakistan in this regard, on the basis that Saudi possession of such weapons would act as a deterrent to any possible Israeli threat of nuclear force against Saudi Arabia. The sources indicated that Saudi Arabia was not interested in acquiring nuclear weapons manufacturing capability, or weapons-grade raw material, but only in acquiring actual weapons, preferably for missile delivery using Saudi CSS-2 medium-range ballistic missiles (MRBMs) which had been acquired from the People’s Republic of China (PRC).
