Geiselkommando setzt Moskau Ultimatum


Die Geiselnehmer in einem Moskauer Theater haben der russischen Regierung ein Ultimatum gesetzt. Moskau habe sieben Tage Zeit, seine Truppen aus Tschetschenien abzuziehen und den Einsatz in der Kaukasusrepublik zu beenden, erklärten die Rebellen auf ihrer Website kavkaz.org. Andernfalls werde das Musicaltheater in der russischen Hauptstadt in die Luft gesprengt.

Google excluding controversial sites


Google, the world's most popular search engine, has quietly deleted more than 100 controversial sites from some search result listings. Absent from Google's French and German listings are Web sites that are anti-Semitic, pro-Nazi, or related to white supremacy, according to a new report from Harvard University's Berkman Center. Also banned is Jesus-is-lord.com, a fundamentalist Christian site that is adamantly opposed to abortion.

Antibacterial Soap a Waste of Time, Experts Say


It may be virtually impossible to buy soap in the United States that is not "antibacterial," but such products are a waste of time, experts said on Thursday. Not only that, but their heavy use could contribute to a whole new breed of hard-to-kill superbugs, the researchers told a meeting of the Infectious Diseases Society of America.
