So it's not necessarily a surprise that the starchitect has recently ventured into an even more extravagant area -- the world of superyachts.

Keeping It Classy: ATM Dispenses Gold Bars
It's the ultimate hole-in-the-wall - a money machine that dispenses pure gold.
But installed beneath the gold-coated ceilings of Abu Dhabi's Emirates Palace hotel, where royalty and billionaires come for cappuccinos topped with gold flakes, the machine almost seems part of the furniture.

Rare 64-year-old Glenfiddich bottle up for grabs at Bonhams
Whisky may not be everyone's idea of a sound financial investment, but as we have reported previously, as long as you choose wisely and resist drinking it, IT IS! With that in mind, you may wish to consider an exceptionally rare bottle of Glenfiddich coming up for auction next month. It is one of only 61 bottles produced by the distillery in 1937 and is the first to appear at auction. Having matured for 64 years it is also one of the oldest whiskies ever released and is expected to fetch between GBP15,000 - 20,000 (US$22,250 – 29,670).

The auction would include ancient artifacts, stakes in state-owned companies and assets, such as uninhabited islands. Of the 6,000 Greek islands, scattered across the Aegean and Ionian seas, only 220 are inhabited and many are already up for sale.

Cheap Australian Islands
Many people dream of owning their own tropical island, but for most it remains just a fantasy. Now, though, a slice of paradise has become almost affordable in Australia, with dozens of islands on the market and the global financial crisis driving down prices.

Some offer not only powdery-white beaches and crystal-clear waters, but all the accoutrements of a jetset lifestyle: mansions, swimming pools, twin-engine aircraft.
