It’s time for some island shopping in Greece!

As the world has been focusing on the tragic economic crisis engulfing Greece, the call for a Big Fat Greek Auction to repay some of the country’s debt is louder than before. The auction would include ancient artifacts, stakes in state-owned companies and assets, such as uninhabited islands. Of the 6,000 Greek islands, scattered across the Aegean and Ionian seas, only 220 are inhabited and many are already up for sale.
