Civil Guard tries to smuggle cannabis into mainland Spain
A Civil Guard officer was arrested by colleagues in Melilla this week as he tried to board the Almería ferry with more than 100 kilos of cannabis hidden in his car. Officers found 128 kilos of cannabis pollen hidden in the rear door panels of the vehicle and he now faces a public health charge.

Google tracking cookie spans AdSense, DoubleClick
Yes, Google is using the same tracking cookie across both its AdSense and DoubleClick online ad contraptions. This allows the Mountain View ad giant to collect your surfing habits as you move from AdSense partner sites to sites using DoubleClick's ad management platform - although the company indicates that at least in some cases, the data is not combined.

The notifications were filed for the purpose of extending the Act's provisions limiting the recovery of antitrust plaintiffs to actual damages under specified circumstances. Remembering the Tiananmen Square Protest and Massacre
On the night of June 4, 20 years ago this week, seven weeks of student pro-democracy demonstrations against the Communist government of China came to a violent end in Tiananmen Square. Magnum Photos was there covering the uprisings, and its photographers witnessed the scene of the lone protester—“Tank Man”—who stood bravely in front of the military tanks making their way into the square, which led to the iconic image taken by Stuart Franklin. The world watched as the military crushed the student demonstrations.

30 Vintage Absinthe Posters, Ads, and Labels
I’m sure many of you have seen a few of these posters. I felt there were enough cool ones that focused only on the spirit known as absinthe that they deserved a showcase style post. If you are unfamiliar with absinthe, let me give you a bit of info that might make you appreciate some of these posters and ads a little more.
Absinthe is also referred to as “the green fairy.” it is for this reason that you will see a wide use of green in many of the ads.

Foliage Covered Botanical Building by Mass Studies
If you’re a fan of botanical architecture, this might just be the coolest building ever. Architects Minsuk Cho and Kisu Park of Mass Studies designed this flora-clothed multi-level building to house Belgian fashion designer Ann Demeulemeester’s store in Seoul, South Korea. The building was completed in October 2007 and takes green roofs and living walls to another level, using foliage to cover both the external and internal wall surfaces. We love that it looks as if the building is growing up from underneath the greenery, blurring the lines between plants as ornamentation or structure.
