10,000-Piece LEGO Mosaic Of Video Game Characters

This is a 75" x 45" LEGO mosaic made from 10,511-individual pieces that features a ton of oldschool NES and SEGA video game characters. Etsy seller Mytemporaryshop (awesome name) is currently selling the piece for $4,828.59 (strange price), with all proceeds going to help fund a friend's school project to send her class to Africa next year. Honestly, if I had $5,000 to blow I would consider it. Even more honestly, if I had $5,000 to blow I would also consider moving to Vegas. "Like, to live permanently?" Yep, UNTIL I DIE. I give myself four days, tops.

The Tesla Model S Is So Safe It Broke the Crash-Testing Gear

The Tesla Model S may be the safest vehicle ever tested by the feds. So safe, in fact, that according to the automaker, the all-electric sedan broke the testing equipment at an independent commercial facility.

Most cars get five stars in the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s frontal crash protection test and four stars for side impact protection. But the Model S aced them all: front, side, pole, and rollover. And Tesla adds in its announcement that during a previous roof crush test used during validation, the machine failed while applying more than 4 G’s of pressure — the same as stacking four of the electric sedans on top of the car without the roof breaking.

New Radioactive Water Leak At Fukushima: 300 Tons and Growing

Radioactive water has leaked from a storage tank into the ground at Japan's Fukushima plant, its operator says.

Tokyo Electric Power Company (Tepco) said the leak of at least 300 tonnes of the highly radioactive water was discovered on Monday.

The plant, crippled by the earthquake and tsunami in 2011, has seen a series of water leaks and power failures.

The tsunami knocked out cooling systems to the reactors, three of which melted down.

North Carolina State University Gets $60 Million To Help NSA Build Bigger And Better Haystacks

Who wants to work on a collaborative data project with a badly wounded intelligence agency? I'm not seeing a lot of hands... How about if I ask it with a couple of exclamation points thrown in?!?! Still nothing...

Given what we know now, it's probably safe to assume that no one wants to sign a deal with this particular devil if the NSA's abortive recruitment drive at the University of Wisconsin is any indication. The recruiters appeared to believe they could just walk in and harvest a few souls hand out a few heavily-redacted business cards while talking up Team NSA's anti-terrorism efforts.

Latest Leak: NSA Can Spy On Almost Anything, Gets To Set Its Own Filters

And, here we go again. This time, it's the WSJ journal with the scoop on NSA surveillance, and how the defenders of the NSA have been lying to us. Despite claims that the NSA was really only focused on foreign communications, the WSJ is reporting that it actually covers 75% of US internet traffic:

A man who admitted having sex with a goat has been banned from every farm in the country.

Robert Newman has also been told he must stay indoors after dark until his sentencing hearing next month.

The 23-year-old had been due to stand trial but at the last minute changed his plea to guilty at north-west Wiltshire magistrates court in Chippenham, admitting one count of an act of sexual penetration on the animal.
