Grausames Ende eines Liebesakts: In der Ukraine ist ein Liebespaar beim Sex auf den Bahngleisen überfahren worden. Sie wollten ihrem Liebesleben einen Kick verpassen, sagte der Mann nach dem Unfall. Er verlor beide Beine, seine Frau starb.

Underwater Sonar Linked To Whale Deaths


A group of scientists have confirmed a link between the sonar, used by Exxon Mobil to map the ocean floor for oil, and the death of melon-headed whales. From the article: 'A spokesman for ExxonMobil said the company disagrees with the findings. "ExxonMobil believes the panel's finding about the multi-beam echo sounder is unjustified due to the lack of certainty of information and observations recorded during the response efforts in 2008," spokesman Patrick McGinn told AFP in an email. He added that observers employed by the Madagascar government and the oil giant "were on board the vessel and did not observe any whales in the area.

Glenn Greenwald working on new NSA revelations


Two American journalists known for their investigations of the United States' government said Saturday they've teamed up to report on the National Security Agency's role in what they described as a U.S. assassination program.

Glenn Greenwald, the Rio-based journalist who has written stories about U.S. surveillance programs based on documents leaked by former NSA contractor Edward Snowden, is now working with Jeremy Scahill, a contributor to The Nation magazine and the New York Times best-selling author of "Dirty Wars."
