Fake Torrent Finder
The MPAA and RIAA likes to upload fake torrents to track down pirates.
How can you tell what a fake torrent is and what isn't? Well, this finder lets you enter in the title of a torrent or the hashcode and it'll inform you if the torrent is fake or not.

That $200 Windows XP service pack called Vista
More than five years after the release of Windows XP, Windows Vista has arrived. The party line out of Redmond is that "Windows Vista is Microsoft's most secure platform to date," and you won't find anyone at Microsoft saying otherwise. But saying it's Microsoft's most secure operating system isn't saying that Windows Vista is the most secure operating system on the market today.

Vista Speech Command exposes remote exploit
Microsoft is playing down the possibility that the speech recognition system in Windows Vista could be hijacked to delete files or perform other unauthorised actions.
Vista contains improved speech recognition technology, a factor which prompted security researchers to see if it was possible to create MP3 files on hacker websites or audio tracks distributed on P2P networks to issue spoken commands which takes control of PCs running Vista.

California man busted for software piracy
A Southern California man was arrested for allegedly producing and selling thousands of dollars worth of pirated software from Microsoft and Adobe, according to the Riverside County Sheriff's department.
Police mugshot of Gad Zamir wearing gray t-shirtGad Zamir, 64, was apprehended after authorities armed with a search warrant found $13,000 in cash, about $283,000 worth of counterfeit software and 15 computers. The arrest stemmed from an eight-month investigation.

Romania's president delivered an encomium to software piracy during Bill Gates' world tour promoting Windows Vista.
President Traian Basescu reportedly told Gates that software piracy helped build a vibrant technology industry in Romania.

A Little Something for the Hackers in Boston
I spent 10 good years in Boston while I attended MIT, and I carried around plenty of devices that could be classified as “suspicious looking” by Coakley’s standards, such as the “nerd kits” that we used to build our electronics labs.

Attempts at buzz marketing are nearly always lame, awkward, and obvious; that's about the worst (or, perhaps, best) that can be said of them, most of the time. Rare indeed is the word-of-mouth campaign that triggers bomb scares, panics a city, and shuts down a commercial district.

Mooninites (Ignignokt) LED Boston Bomb Scare
mine has a chip in the lower right hand corner (pictured)(wont matter if framed) Chip is about 1/16th of an inch unit functions perfectly. and just like the other ones with the light timer (that can be easily bypassed) i will next day air early AM this to you at my expense. or, if you are nearby i will hand deliver it.
