The Kleptones invite you to... "A Night At The Hip-Hopera"
The Kleptones ? Bag of shite, mate. Went right downhill after that bloke Eric joined. I remember going to watch my mate Ralf back in the old days, y'know, when it was his band, doing his songs 'n' stuff and they were well wicked. The Free Butt, The Albert, The Pressure Point, they played everywhere. Not may people got to see 'em but when you're on at 7pm most people are still havin' their tea, splashing a bit of water on their face in readiness for the evening's entertainment, but those half a dozen people that had wandered into the gig straight from work loved it. Oh, and the sound guy from the Pressure Point said he knew someone who worked for EMI and he was gonna die when he heard them. So they were set, right ?

must SEE !!!!! C-MON & KYPSKI
Because of this eclectic appeal, C-mon & Kypski's work might be hard to categorize. Their next gigantic leap isn't making it easier, introducing another level of experience. Their energy - containing musical ancestors such as jazz, hip hop, soul, funk and more - is definitely exploring new territories while staying continuously dynamic. 'Static Traveller' goes from unexpected breaks and accelerating turntable races to heart breaking symphonies.

MIT Works to Power Computers With Spinach
"Eat your spinach," Mom used to say. "It will make your muscles grow, power your laptop and recharge your cell phone... " OK. So nobody's Mom said those last two things. But researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology say they have used spinach to harness a plant's ability to convert sunlight into energy for the first time, creating a device that may one day power laptops, mobile phones and more.

The Ultimate Counterfeit
Cuban cigars are regarded as one of life's most indulgent luxuries. Each year their production falls far short of the worldwide demand for these premium vitolas. They are highly sought after by both the aficionado and the novice, and as a result, they routinely cost in excess of $20 US dollars for a single double corona. Add to that equation that the importation of Havanas is illegal in the wealthiest country in the world, the United States, and you have a scenario ripe for counterfeiters. The potential profit from selling fake Cuban cigars is immense, particularly in the US, and don't think for a second that the less honorable in our society don't take advantage of this fact.

Prostitute soccer girls banned
A GUATEMALA soccer team made up of prostitutes cried foul after being ejected from a tournament because of their profession.
"Just for being prostitutes, society marginalises us, and we want to exercise our rights as women and as mothers," said the team captain, Valeria, who did not give her last name.
Her team, the Stars of the Line, lost 5-2 to the Blue Devils, fielded by an exclusive girls' school in the Guatemalan capital, and were ejected from the tournament after Monday's game.

1 million Web users click to see beheading
There are many reasons to be profoundly disturbed about the beheading videos streaming out of Iraq -- yet people around the world are eager to watch.

Police find underground pot garden
The trunk of a car near Darrington leads to a buried shipping container with everything needed to grow a marijuana crop, police say.
A drug bust turned bizarre when police searched the trunk of an abandoned car on Tuesday.
"The bottom of the trunk had been cut apart - an area about 3 by 3 feet square with a black board sitting on top of this cutout," said Sgt. John Flood of the Snohomish Regional Drug Task Force.
When police lifted the board out of the way, they found a ladder that led to a secret underground passageway. The trunk, it turned out, was the access hatch to what police believe was an underground marijuana-growing shelter.
