Teenage boys and girls are using blogs, easily publishable online diaries, in many more similar ways than has been predicted, according to a study.
Previous studies on gender and the net have suggested girls communicate better, and more often, than boys.

Lumberjacks, Knights Audition for Monty Python Film
Knights, monsters, and cross-dressing lumberjacks lined up near New York's Times Square on Saturday, hoping to win roles in an upcoming movie about the life of Monty Python comedian Graham Chapman.
About 1,000 actors and fans donned costumes to audition for the film "Gin and Tonic," about the life of Chapman, who died of throat cancer in 1989, said writer and director David Eric Brenner.
Brenner described the auditions as "loony."

The money or the box-bomb...
A police explosives team rushed to the scene of an attempted bank robbery in Grassy Park on Friday after a woman allegedly walked into a bank, handed a teller a note declaring she had a bomb in a box and demanded money.
But the box was empty and the woman was arrested.

Neuer 'Harry Potter'-Film ist bereits illegal im Internet zu haben
Den neuen 'Harry Potter'-Film gibt es seit Freitag illegal im Internet. Eine Crew, die sich Uti nennt, hat den Film illegal mit einer Cam direkt aus einem amerikanischen Kino abgefilmt und später dann ins Internet gestellt.
Es wurde sogar ein Bild veröffentlicht, das die Qualität des illegalen Mitschnitts zeigen soll, wie auch ein so genanntes Sample, das 50 Sekunden lang und 8,1 MB groß ist.

Der "Galactos" soll Währung für Geschäfte mit Aliens werden
Kiril Kanew ist der Präsident der Stiftung für die Suche nach Kosmischem Leben mit Sitz in Bulgarien. Er hat es sich zum Ziel gesetzt, eine neue Währung einzuführen, die geschäftliche Beziehungen mit Außerirdischen ermöglichen soll.
Konkret schlägt er eine Münze vor, die drei Gramm wiegt und aus Nickel sowie Chrom hergestellt wird. Als Namen schlägt er 'Galactos' vor, dieser soll auf dem Geldstück zusammen mit dem Jahr der Prägung erscheinen.
Der Stiftungspräsident räumt jedoch ein, dass die Notwendigkeit dieses Finanzierungsmittels nicht unmittelbar bestehen würde, da Aliens sich derzeit nicht mit Regierungen in Verbindung setzen würden, sondern eher mit 'normalen' Menschen.

Universal picks up DOOM movie rights
After Warner Bros. attempted to make a DOOM movie a reality nearly two years ago, Universal Pictures has stepped up and purchased the film rights to id Software's legendary first-person shooter video game. The same producers that tried to get the film greenlit at Warners remain on the project with Universal, namely Lorenzo Di Bonaventura and John Wells.

It seems that women find men like Mr Darcy in Pride And Prejudice simply irresistible. And the key lies not in the looks but in their breath-taking arrogance.
According to the Mirror, the steely glare, the cool demeanour, the icy determination and the total disregard for what anybody else might think are a total turn-on for women even if the object of concern doesn't give a damn.

Tiger kills 59 in Bangladesh
Fear stalks the world's largest mangrove forests in Bangladesh, the Sundarbans, where a marauding tiger is believed to have killed 59 people and injured many in the past year.
The deaths took place in the delta on the country's southwestern coast, OneWorld reports.
The tiger's bloodlust has intensified in the past five months, when 32 people were mauled to death, sending waves of terror among the three million people residing in the forest and dependent on its honey reserves, fisheries and plants.

Police Look For Naked Drive-Through Patron
Police are searching for a man who was naked when he picked up his fast food order this week at a drive-through window.
The customer at Bojangles restaurant was described as a hairy, big-bellied man in his 30s with short curly black hair that was receding on the top of his head. He picked up an order at the window Monday morning.
"He conducted his business at the drive-through wearing no clothing and he had to open his door to receive whatever they were passing out the drive-through window," said Capt. Ross Frederick of the Hillsborough Police Department.

Moderne Betriebssysteme verfügen alle über ein Defragmentierungsprogramm, welches dem unerfahrenen Benutzer vorgaukelt, verstreute Dateiteile auf der Harddisk wieder zusammenzufügen, und so die Lesegeschwindigkeit zu verbessern!
Alles Quatsch! Wer wirklich die ultimative Lesegeschwindigkeit erleben will, muss das Defragmentieren manuell vornehmen! Es bedarf zwar etwas "handwerklicher" Begabung, aber mit dieser Schritt-für-Schritt-Anleitung ist es ganz einfach.
