The Garbage Dilemma
Plenty of garbage but no place to put it
Hungary's being literally covered in waste -- both household and industrial. As the country soon enters the European Union (EU), it will have to provide as many as 100 modern disposal sites by 2010. The problem is that there is no place to put all this garbage as no-one wants to have a dump in their own backyard. No fewer than nine local governments held plebiscites over whether to allow dumps to be set up in their neighbourhoods. Only one settlement so far voted in favour of becoming a regional disposal center while the others rejected such a proposal outright.

Vienna council 'pooh-poohs' messy horses
Vienna has ordered its traditional carriage drivers to clean up their act and strap "poo bags" to their horses' backsides to prevent them from fouling the historic capital's pristine streets.
The carriages, or fiakers, have roamed Vienna for centuries.

What is SpoofStick?
SpoofStick is a simple browser extension that helps users detect spoofed (fake) websites. A spoofed website is typically made to look like a well known, branded site (like ebay.com or citibank.com) with a slightly different or confusing URL. The attacker then tries to trick people into going to the spoofed site by sending out fake email messages or posting links in public places - hoping that some percentage of users won't notice the incorrect URL and give away important information. This practice is sometimes known as “phishing".

A U.S. military search team discovers a Cold War-era MiG-25 Foxbat interceptor, the fastest combat aircraft today, buried beneath the sands in Iraq. Several MiG-25s and Su-25 ground attack jets have been found buried at al-Taqqadum air field west of Baghdad.

Chello: Ampel regelt Downloadlimit
Eigentlich gibt es ja kein Hardlimit und doch werden User wegen exzessivem Verhalten auf Ihr Downloadlimit hingewiesen bzw. sogar gekündigt. Was treibt einen Provider, wenn er offiziell nicht zugeben will mit wieviel xy GB es zu viel ist? Man greift zu Sinnbildern.
Warum man eine Ampel mit den 3 Grundfarben Grün, Gelb u. Rot gewählt hat, weiss auch nur die chellotechnik.
Eine wirkliche plausible Erklärung konnte bisher nicht gefunden werden. Vorallem wenn grün "freie Fahrt" bedeutet, was bedeutet gelb? Gibt es wie in Wien üblich ein Grün-blinken bevor gelb auf rot folgt?
Ehrlich gesagt wundert sich niemand mehr über soviel Einfallsreichtum um eine verbindliche Antwort zu umgehen.
