Two Army sergeants in Baghdad stumbled across an estimated $650 million in U.S. currency hidden in a cottage, the Los Angeles Times reported.

Breaking open one box, they discovered 40 sealed stacks of uncirculated $100 bills - $100,000 per stack, or $4 million in the box. In all, the 40 boxes were assumed to contain $160 million.

Office workers give away passwords for a cheap pen
Workers are prepared to give away their passwords for a cheap pen, according to a somewhat unscientific - but still illuminating - survey published today.
The second annual survey into office scruples, conducted by the people organising this month's InfoSecurity Europe 2003 conference, found that office workers have learnt very little about IT security in the past year.
If anything, people are even more lax about security than they were a year ago, the survey found.

"My wife never lets me get a word in edgeways," the man identified as Vladimir R. told Mannheim police. "So I crank up the siren and let it rip for a few minutes. It works every time. Afterwards, it's real quiet again."
