Government Warns Against 'Patriot Hacking'
Experts: Many Do-Gooders Could Become Dupes
The FBI is warning that growing tensions between the United States and Iraq could lead to an increase in global computer hacking on both sides.
The agency's National Infrastructure Protection Center says such activity is illegal and punishable as a felony.

Schon wieder soll eine Tonbandbotschaft Osama Bin Ladens aufgetaucht sein. Darin kündigt der al-Qaida-Chef angeblich sein eigenes Ende an - er wolle als Märtyrer in die Geschichte eingehen, berichtet eine Nachrichtenagentur, der das Band vorliegen soll.
"In diesem letzten Jahr stürze ich mich und mein Ross mit meiner Seele auf den Feind. In der Tat werde ich mit meinem Ableben zum Märtyrer", zitierte der Chef der Nachrichtenagentur, Imran Khan, aus der Aufnahme. Es gebe Äußerungen, die den Schluss zuließen, dass Bin Laden seinem Leben mit einem Terroranschlag auf die USA ein Ende setzen wolle, sagte Khan.

Microsoft hat einen Marktanteil von 50,1 Prozent erobert, während Netscape nur noch 47,4 Prozent erreicht" - so lautete eine ZDNet-Meldung aus dem Sommer 1999. Mittlerweile ist viel Wasser die Isar hinunter geflossen und das Kräfteverhältnis zwischen den beiden meist genutzten Browsern verteilt sich etwas eindeutiger: Aktuell bewegen sich weniger als fünf Prozent der europäischen User mit einem Browser, der nicht von Microsoft entwickelt wurde, durch das Internet.

The "smart bra" is made of a fabric with a special coating that makes it contract when the strain on it passes a pre-set level.

Military vehicles with anti-aircraft
have been deployed around Washington, and fighter jet patrols over the nation's capital and New York have been increased as a result of the elevated threat of terrorist attack, Pentagon officials told CNN on Tuesday. It's the first deployment of "Avenger" air-defense systems since September, when Humvees outfitted with ground-to-air Stinger missiles were deployed with Sentinel radars around the Pentagon and other military installations. The "Avenger" is a portable, short-range air-defense system mounted on a Humvee that can rapidly fire eight Stinger missiles.
