Man killed when 2000lb tomato paste exploded
A 42-year-old man was killed Sunday afternoon during an industrial accident at Rio Bravo Tomato Co. on Highway 58, west of Interstate 5. The employee, Jesus Gabriel Meza of Wasco, was cleaning up a tomato-paste spill when a crate containing a sealed bag with 3,000 pounds of tomato paste exploded, according to the Kern County Sheriff's Department coroner's division.

Palm Pilot Robot Kit (PPRK)
Robots just might be the next big thing, hobby robots are at the "Apple II" stage right now. Between the $2500 Sony Aibo and BattleBots, robots are starting to get a lot of attention. I have been interested in robots for a while and I have used the Lego Mindstorms kit as an interview tool in my job for hiring semiconductor Applications Engineers ("just build/program something, you have two hours; have fun!"). When I heard about the PPRK, I had to play with one.

So what is this Zorb thing - huh?
The Zorb is the latest adventure experience brought to you from that little spot of land way down in the corner of your map called New Zealand. Yeah - get your atlases out, brush off the cobwebs from your old geography school-books - I'm not lying, you'll find it way off to the right and South of that big lump of land called Australia.
