The Nixie Tube Digital Wristwatch!
To view the time; simply press the button on the front of the watch to illuminate the Nixie Tubes. Daylight viewing is good, and nighttime viewing is like an orange beacon.
Why a Nixie Tube Wristwatch? ...because it had never been done before!
The wristwatch was designed using surface mount components, and miniature NOS (1968 vintage) Nixie Tubes.
Some months ago, a friend was looking at a Nixie clock, and asked "Could someone build a Nixie Wristwatch?" Originally, I didn't believe that the electronics, and a HV power supply could be squeezed into a tiny enclosure.

Airparks: a plane in your garage
Located in Ocala, Florida, Jumbolair is probably the best known fly-in community in the world. One of the first purchasers in the development was actor John Travolta who keeps his own Boeing 707 in his garage. Jumbolair contains America's largest private airstrip, but it’s not the only airpark in the country. According to the "Living With Your Plane" Association, there are about 430 airparks with a total of 22,000 home sites in the United States.

New Dutch dredging technology was used to create these massive man made islands. They are the largest artificial islands in the world and can be seen from space. Three of these Palms will be made with the last one being the largest of them all.

University of Leicester psychologist Adrian White pooled data from over 100 studies that looked at self-reported happiness all over the world. The result is a global projection of subjective well-being that ranks 178 countries according to how satisfied their residents are with their lives. White also compared satisfaction scores with GDP, life expectancy, and access to education in each country. Life expectancy was most tightly linked to happiness, suggesting that health may be the biggest factor in contentment. Income showed the next strongest correlation, followed closely by education.
