Original 1989 Batmobile is on eBay for $500,000
If only you have been living on the 10th planet of your solar system then you can be excused for not knowing about the Batmobile. All the earthlings and maybe even aliens from close by planets are aware of the vehicle used by our superhero Batman. And here’s your chance to sit behind the wheels and drive one such original Batmobile made for the Batman movie that starred Micheal Keaton (I love his eyes) and Jack Nicholson (I love his wickedness). Of the five cars built for the movie, this one on eBay is the number five car. If you’ve got half a million, that is $500,000, lying under your bed then swap it for this1980 Batmobile that will be a priceless addition for you garage. Although Batman could swing from Gothic clock tower on his Batline, he too needed this wild beauty to cruise around his town. Hey what about parking? Do you think that you are skilled enough to fit it into a standard parking spot?

Match It For Pratchett
Help match Terry Pratchett's $1 million ( £500,000 ) donation to Alzheimer's Research.
This site has been up for less than 24 hours and we have already had several hundred visitors. Most of them are from Live Journal but we are now getting traffic from Google and a few other places. So far the Donation Jar has raised over $100 which is a great start from a small number of people. I think it shows how much pleasure and joy Terry Pratchett and his writing has brought to people all around the world.

The fees on sold goods were actually higher. Now, the company has banned sellers from giving "negative" feedback on buyers. This is quite an interesting move. Years back, eBay was often held up as the epitome of user feedback/rating systems.

Auction watchdog says eBay is illegal in France
A French Government watchdog is trying to shut down eBay in France. The Council of Sales regulates auction houses and has said that the site should be bound by strict French auction rules.
The French eBay site does not have one of the Council's permits to operate as an auctions service and so does not have to abide by regulations which were made law in 2000. This, said the Council, gives it an unfair advantage and should change.

If Elvis were here today, he might say: "Thank you, thank you very much" for the 17 years an odd Missouri outpost has been making the case the King never died.
