The inventor of a strap-on flying machine for sale on eBay has a request for users of the site: stop hacking his auction.
Since the personal aircraft went on sale last Friday on the popular auction site, bids have been pouring in -- some as high as $6 million. But Michael Moshier, the machine's inventor, said it soon became clear that many of the offers were coming from pranksters -- unwilling to shell out the cash to own the one-of-a-kind Solotrek XFV.

eBay Sues Operator of eBaytoo.com
The online auction house eBay has sued a man for allegedly operating a similar business on the Internet. John Wederman, of Schenectady, who operates eBaytoo.com, allegedly violated eBay's copyright in an attempt to "trade on the eBay name and to take advantage of initial consumer unfamiliarity and confusion," according to the lawsuit filed Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Albany.

eBay - Eminem's Former Home Doesn't Sell on
Eminem's former home did not sell at auction on eBay, despite reports that the owners had received bids as high as $12 million. When the house's owners hired a company to weed out phony bids, sales prospects dimmed quickly. None of the offers met the minimum bid of $120,000, and the online auction has now expired.

Cyber hunt nets computer scam
Eric Smith, a University of New Orleans student, initially had few clues to find the person who bought his Apple laptop on eBay with the bogus cheque. He had an email address, cell phone number and the Chicago street address - actually a mail drop - where he shipped the laptop.

eBay hit by credit card scam
The world's largest online auction site eBay has been targeted by fraudsters using a shadow site to steal credit card details from its 55 million customers. The scam involved sending e-mails to customers asking them to log on to a Florida-based website - ebayupdates.com - and re-submit their financial details.

Ex-Eminem house bids out of control
The 5,000-square-foot colonial with a swimming pool and Jacuzzi went on the Internet auction site eBay last month and drew an initial bid of $600,000.
Someone bid $99.9 million, but backed out of the deal, and the next-highest bidder probably will pull out, too.

Eminem’s former home continues to draw fans — and bids of more than $11 million — to an Internet auction site.
A modest, 1,300-square-foot Warren home, listed on eBay since Nov. 14, was appraised at $91,000. The highest of the 289 bids as of Monday morning was $11,000,600. Bidding opened at $120,000.

Bidding for Eminem home passes $1 million
Eminem's uncle, Todd Nelson, sold the house this month for $45,000 to Lucido and Fraschetti. The 1,300-square-foot home has three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It was built in 1940 and has been in Eminem's family for at least 50 years, Fraschetti said.
