Der libysche Machthaber Al-Gaddafi braucht offenbar Geldnachschub, um den Kampf gegen die eigene Bevölkerung fortsetzen zu können. Nun fing die britische Regierung laut inoffiziellen Angaben einer Behördenvertreterin in London ein Schiff vor Tripolis ab. Die brisante Ladung: mehrere Container voll mit libyschen Dinar im Gesamtwert von 160 Millionen Dollar. Unterdessen geht der blutige Bürgerkrieg in Libyen mit unverminderter Härte weiter, in Tripolis kam es zu wilden Straßenschlachten.

Fresh protests hit Libyan capital
At least 1,000 people protesting against the rule of Muammar Gaddafi have taken to the streets of Tripoli, the Libyan capital, raising fears of fresh conflict between anti-government protesters and loyalist forces.
Protests called by the opposition began on Friday when worshippers streamed out of a mosque in the centre of the city, chanting "Gaddaf is the enemy of God", witnesses said.

Video - I don't have a problem with Saif #Gaddafi lying, he'll soon get his. I'm just terribly offended because he has the word "Islam" in his name.

One of Muammar Gaddafi's sons, Saif al Islam, has been the public face of the Libyan regime since the unrest began.
He has accused the international media, including Al Jazeera, of blowing the crisis out of proportion. In an interview with Anita McNaught, he repeated the allegation claiming the West was trying to take over Libya's oil.
Is Saif loosing it? Fascinating interview on AJEnglish but I'm baffled by him; by the fence sitting West still hedging bets.

So far as I understand it there are clashes in Azawiya, Gharyan, Ras Lanouf, and of course Tripoli, ranging from demonstrations to battles.
