nilesat@link.net & +20 238400145 ASK THEM if their State TV contract is worth more than thousands of Libyan lives
Nilesat didn't find it hard to disable Aljazeera during #jan25 despite contract. If they don't disable State TV we'll pursue legal action

Truth about Zawiyah "A massacre"
Libya: On the frontline during the bloody battle for Zawiya For two days the Libyan government has repeatedly claimed to have captured the rebel stronghold of Zawiya, just 30 miles west of Tripoli. Alex Crawford was trapped inside for two days as Col Gaddafi's tanks attacked – and were beaten off.

Petition: Disabling/Jamming Gaddafi's Lines of Communication
The United States can take quick action to help the people of Libya. An easy and fast way to help stop Gaddafi and his forces is to disable/jam the electronic signals of the regime. This will halt communications within this brutal regime and allow opposition forces to take control and free Libya.

On Libya and “African Mercenaries”
There is a very widespread and dangerous trope being played upon when Libyans accuse Gaddafi’s crimes of being committed by “African Mercenaries”, hints of which are being picked up in the foreign media. CNN has just prominently shown a Libyan woman, tear stained, crying out on the newly liberated streets of Egypt. She calls for justice for her people, for the killing to end, begs Obama to intervene, and then repeats “Gaddafi is killing us with his Africans!” She is not alone in arranging this revolution between the Libyan people on one side, and Gaddafi, his family, and dark-skinned “outsiders” on the other.

Libya Crisis Map
OCHA, UNOSAT and NetHope have been collaborating with the Volunteer Technical Community (VTC) specifically CrisisMappers, Crisis Commons, Open Street Map, and the Google Crisis Response Team over the past week.
The CrisisMappers Standby Task Force has been undertaking a mapping of social media, news reports and official situation reports from within Libya and along the borders at the request of OCHA. The Task Force is also aiding in the collection and mapping of 3W information for the response. UNOSAT is kindly hosting the Common Operational Datasets to be used during the emergency. Interaction with these groups is being coordinated by OCHA’s Information Services Section.

Eight SAS men in undercover mission are seized in Libya - by the rebel forces they went to help
An eight-man SAS team was being held by Libyan rebel forces last night after being captured as they accompanied a junior British diplomat on an undercover mission which ended in embarrassment.
The elite troops had been escorting the diplomat through rebel-held territory in the east of Libya as he tried to make contact with opponents of Colonel Gaddafi.
