Random live webcams from the Net
These webcams were found automatically through a variety of clever search techniques. Their owners might or might not have intended for them to be public. But they obviously are. Many of them are security cameras in companies or semi-public places. If you hover over the picture you'll see what location information is available. If you click on it, a window will open and you can see a live video feed, plus comments and ratings and other information. 1399 webcams are available as of last scan.

Fake professor in Wikipedia storm
Internet site Wikipedia has been hit by controversy after the disclosure that a prominent editor had assumed a false identity complete with fake PhD.
The editor, known as Essjay, had described himself as a professor of religion at a private university.

BBC strikes Google-YouTube deal
The BBC has struck a content deal with YouTube, the web's most popular video sharing website, owned by Google.
Three YouTube channels - one for news and two for entertainment - will showcase short clips of BBC content.

The Web's Best Interface Design
The amount of new web applications, features, and companies sprouting up is just astounding, and while some like to characterize "Web 2.0" design as involving lots of cliché diagonal lines and shadows it still takes a lot of skill to execute an attractive user interface.

Skype Program Accused Of Collecting Personal Info From Users' Computers
It's the kind of thing that can creep people out when they use the Internet. Officials with eBay's Skype Internet phone service say a computer program ended up collecting identifying information from users' computers. Executives from the company insist the data was never used improperly and that the software itself has since been updated. But some critics have said the problem could have been serious.
