Bush Challenged on 'Safer America' Union Message
Security analysts and a leading human rights campaigner called Wednesday for a rethink of the war on terror and challenged President Bush's assertion that it was making America safer.
Bush devoted much of Tuesday's State of the Union address to rallying Americans behind the war on terror, telling them the nation must not falter and leave its work unfinished.

Suspect shells examined in Iraq
Coalition experts are examining dozens of mortar shells found in southern Iraq which could contain chemical weapons.
Danish troops who found them said they showed traces of blister gases - compounds which include mustard gas.

Bush Planned Iraqi Invasion Before Sept. 11-Report
Former Treasury Secretary Paul O'Neill charges in a new book that President Bush entered office in January 2001 intent on invading Iraq and was in search of a way to go about it. O'Neill, who was fired in December 2002 as part of a shake-up of Bush's economic team, has become the first major Bush administration insider to launch an attack on the president.

Nuclear weapon 'brochure' adds to US dilemma over Musharraf
Pakistan faced embarrassment yesterday with the publication of a sales brochure from its top-secret nuclear facility, apparently hawking technology and components to would-be nuclear powers.
The brochure from the AQ Khan Research Laboratories, the centre of Pakistan's nuclear weapons programme, has an official-looking seal on the cover saying "Government of Pakistan".

Bees set off for their frequent food runs and flock to an “odour of interest”, which is attractive because they associate it with a food source after conditioning. If that odour is vapour plumes of explosives, for example, scientists can map the location of landmines with the help of a laser system.

Al Qaeda websites warn "Our Muslim brothers in America"
Alarming messages published on known al Qaeda Web sites are claiming the terror network is about to launch its biggest strikes ever - and are warning Muslims to leave the cities of New York, Washington and Los Angeles.
The statements monitored by U.S. government agencies, as well as by a Washington-based terrorist research group, are part of the alarming increase in "chatter" among terrorist operatives in recent weeks that played a role in the Bush administration's decision to raise the nation's threat alert to high (orange).

Fotos der "spiderhole" Saddams wurde im August aufgenommen
Die Frucht auf der Dattelpalme hinter dem Soldaten ist gelb. Diese Frucht wächst von einem März-August und wird im frühen Herbst geerntet. Datteln sind im August, nicht Dezember gelb.
