War poster
This project began in early March on a public design forum, in the midst of spirited debate over the then impending war in Iraq. One member of the design forum suggested that the other members offset their war anxieties by focusing their energies in a more positive way. He encouraged everyone to create posters that expressed their views of the war.

Thousands of Afghani POWs brutally executed, CBC alleges US military complicity
There’s only one war on our television screens now – that other war, the one from just a year ago, has been forgotten – but not by everyone. In Afghanistan, filmmaker Jamie Doran has uncovered evidence of a massacre: Taliban prisoners of war suffocated in containers, shot in the desert under the watch of American troops.

Why We Are Losing The War on Terrorism
Fighting terrorism is 90% intelligence and 10% action (a total reversal of traditional ratios). If this is the best our government can do, we are in for a world of hurt.
My confident belief (100%): we will continue to lose the war on terrorism until we fix our intelligence system.

Command Errors Aided Iraq Abuse, Army Has Found
An internal Army investigation has found a virtual collapse of the command structure in a prison outside Baghdad where American enlisted personnel are accused of committing acts of abuse and humiliation against Iraqi detainees.

An Iraq Prison Diary
Bernhard, a Whiskey Bar reader in Germany, has made a spectacular catch - or cache, I should say, since it comes from the bowels of the Google data base.
What he stumbled across is the diary of one Joe Ryan, a frequent caller and on-air personality at station KSTP, a conservative talk radio station in Minneapolis. More recently, Joe has been serving as a military interrogator at Abu Ghraib prison in Iraq, and KSTP has been posting his diary on their web site.

The Abu Ghraib Prison Photos
It’s the "liberation" of the Iraqi people
These are just some of the photos that led to an investigation into conditions at the Abu Ghraib prison, now run by the occupation authorities, as revealed in a shocking report broadcast by CBS on 60 Minutes II.
"This is international standards," said Karpinski, in an earlier interview with CBS. "It's the best care available in a prison facility."

A HOODED Iraqi captive is beaten by British soldiers before being thrown from a moving truck and left to die.
