Voice On Bin Laden Tape Calls Bush Stupid

An audiotape said to be the voice of Osama bin Laden is calling President Bush "stupid."

And it says American war plans against Iraq are part of a plot to attack other Muslim countries in the Middle East and North Africa.

The tape appears to be the same recording excerpted last week by an Islamic Al Ansaar news agency.

The tape has begun appearing in full today on Islamic-oriented Web sites. The British-based news agency says it acquired the tape from a seller who advertised it over the Internet.

UN Documents German Firms Who did business with Iraq

Iraq's arms report to the United Nations shows that more than 80 German companies have done business with Baghdad since the 1970s and that some have contravened a UN embargo, according to a German newspaper. In its Tuesday edition, the daily Tageszeitung said that the companies included public and private research laboratories and firms which supplied whole systems or components for weapons of mass destruction. Citing what it claimed were parts of the report, the newspaper said some of the 86 companies that had been doing business in Iraq since around 1975 had continued to do so at least up until 2001.

Sprachrohr Saddams

CNN Leaves 750 Words Out Of Blix Transcript.

Now, this is pretty much what we're talking about here.

How in the world do you trust a 'news' organization like CNN, when they offer what purports to be a full transcript of Hans Blix' address to the UN Security Council but they leave out nearly 800 words - and those words just happen to be the ones where Blix refutes Colin Powell's 'smoking gun' presentation from earlier this week?

Military vehicles with anti-aircraft

have been deployed around Washington, and fighter jet patrols over the nation's capital and New York have been increased as a result of the elevated threat of terrorist attack, Pentagon officials told CNN on Tuesday. It's the first deployment of "Avenger" air-defense systems since September, when Humvees outfitted with ground-to-air Stinger missiles were deployed with Sentinel radars around the Pentagon and other military installations. The "Avenger" is a portable, short-range air-defense system mounted on a Humvee that can rapidly fire eight Stinger missiles.

U.S. to raise terror threat assessment

Homeland security agency to move to ‘orange,’ the second-highest level

The Bush administration planned to increase its terrorist threat level to “orange” — or high risk — on Friday, reflecting concerns among U.S. security officials that terrorists are planning a “major attack” as early as next week, sources told NBC News. The decision comes a day after the State Department warned Americans abroad of the threat of new terrorist attacks using chemical or biological weapons.

The new Gulf War trend! Frozen sperm!

American soldiers are taking an unusual precaution before heading to the Persian Gulf, fearing that powerful vaccines or exposure to biological weapons might affect their fertility.

They're freezing their sperm.

Sperm banks nationwide have reported an increase in the number of military clients as deployment orders rapidly increase.

"It doesn't protect their life. It doesn't protect them from illness. But at least ... a man can beget a legal heir," said Dr. Cappy Rothman, co-director of California Cryobank.
