Get Paid $2000 To Upload a Video
We have all grown to believe after many people saying so before, that community and user generated content is the king, and evidently the start of the treacherous path forward. But what on earth were Break thinking, when they announced that they’d pay up to $2,000 for a short video clip? The site, formerly Big-Boys, is indeed offering to pay users incredible sums of money, just to upload simple shorts. No experience needed!

Here we go again... Our top 50 videos of 2005 was a huge success. This year we decided to do things a little bit differently. All the videos are from You Tube and can therefore be watched in the browser.

Moon Video With Plane Crossing
This video shows the moon crossing the telescope's field of view and then suddenly, at the 2:05 second mark, a jet plane crosses. Unbelievable one in a million shot. It was not orchestrated. Pure coincidence.

Das Hollywood-Studio Warner Brothers hat im Rahmen der derzeit in Las Vegas stattfindenden Messe der National Association of Broadcasters bekannt gegeben, beim Blu-ray-Konkurrenzformat HD DVD den von den Redmondern entwickelten Codec benutzen zu wollen. Warner gehört zusammen mit seinen Tochergesellschaften New Line und HBO neben Paramount und Universal zu den Studios, die im Rahmen der CES im Januar über 80 hochaufgelöste Spielfilme für HD DVD angekündigt hatten.

Research in these areas requires that each investigator acquire and digitize video for their studies since the multimedia information retrieval community does not yet have a standard collection of video to be used for research purposes.

Tiny Linux camcorder runs ARM-no-MMU Linux
Samsung has used uClinux and an ARM9-based SoC to build a tiny multi-function device that serves as a high-quality diskless camcorder, SVGA digital camera, mp3 player, voice recorder, data storage device, and web cam. The Miniket runs a 2.6-series "ARM-no-MMU" uClinux kernel that can boot to a shell in 80msec.
