The Video Coat - A Wearable LED Television
The Video Coat is a color TV set built into a lab coat. It is a 160x120 pixel color LED display, built on flex boards.
This television set displays regular NTSC video. I designed and built it for Burning Man.

Some of the most impressive images in science are produced when researchers take numerical data and represent it visually through modeling and computer graphics. The Department of Energy honored 10 of this year’s best scientific visualizations with its annual SciDAC Vis Night awards, at the Scientific Discovery through Advanced Computing conference (SciDAC) in June. Researchers submitted visualizations to the contest, and program participants voted on the best of the best. DJ Spooky's Movie Remix
When The Birth of a Nation was released in 1915, it sought to recast the Civil War and the pains of Reconstruction as being fundamentally caused by African-Americans. It also served as a landmark in American cinema, and is hailed as a masterpiece today. In response, DJ Spooky has "remixed" the movie and released it on DVD under the title "Rebirth of a Nation."
