Part I: Islamist Terror Organizations
The post September 11 war on terrorism has increased Islamist organizations' dependence on the Internet, making it a vital means of communication and indoctrination for both Islamist organizations and for the infrastructure of Al-Qa'ida supporters. As a result of Islamist websites often being tracked and in some cases hacked, or shut down by their Internet Service Providers (ISPs), the Islamist organizations have also become increasingly dependent on chat rooms and message boards for communication.

A confidant of Osama bin Laden surrendered to Saudi diplomats in Iran and was flown to the kingdom Tuesday, a potentially valuable asset in the war on terror because of his closeness to the fugitive al-Qaida chief.

Germany to expel two Sept. 11 terror suspects
Authorities in the German city of Hamburg have issued an order to expel two Moroccans suspected of involvement in the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, local Interior Ministry said on Tuesday.
Authorities sent the deportation documents to both Mounir el-Motassadeq and Abdel Ghani Mzoudi on Monday, claiming the two men pose a "particular danger" to Germany's security, the ministry said.

Violent propaganda distributed via government system
The state of Arkansas unknowingly helped the al-Qaida terrorist network distribute propaganda promoting violence against the United States.
Laura Mansfield, associate director of the Northeast Intelligence Network, first noticed the postings yesterday while monitoring a forum on an Arabic-language Internet bulletin board frequented by al- Qaida sympathizers.

AL-QAEDA PLANNING ATTACK ADS
Homeland Security Secretary Tom Ridge today revealed that there is “credible evidence” that al-Qaeda is preparing attack ads to be aired in key battleground states in the hopes of influencing the fall election.
“According to our information, al-Qaeda plans to run ads attacking President Bush’s record on the economy, Iraq, and the war on terror,” said Mr. Ridge, who called the potential effect of such ads on President Bush’s reelection campaign “sobering.”

Indian Defense Minister strip-searched twice at Dulles Airport
Won't travel to US ever again
Terming as 'ordeal' his strip-search twice in Dulles airport in the US capital area when he was defence minister, George Fernandes on Sunday said he had decided not to visit America in future.
Fernandes told reporters at Muzaffarpur circuit house that despite repeated request of the Indian ambassador to the US, the American officials strip-searched him once on an official visit to Washington and on another occasion en route to Brazil.

Marine Kidnapping May Have Been a Hoax
Marine Cpl. Wassef Ali Hassoun was reported kidnapped three weeks ago in Iraq. On Wednesday, July 7, the United States Navy launched a criminal investigation to determine whether or not the kidnapping was a hoax.

Zarqawi Threatens to Kill New Iraqi Prime Minister
Al Qaeda-linked operative Abu Musab al-Zarqawi has threatened to kill Iraq's new Prime Minister Iyad Allawi in a purported audiotape posted on an Internet Web site.
"As for you Allawi -- sorry, the democratically-elected prime minister -- we have found for you a useful poison and a sure sword...we will pursue our mission (to kill you) to the end," the voice on the tape says.
