US ‘Not Target’ of Jakarta Bomb
The U.S. Embassy in Jakarta says there is no indication that a bomb that exploded in a car travelling through the Menteng area of the capital early Monday (23/9/02) was aimed at American interests. The device exploded as the car it was being carried in was travelling in the elite suburb between 4am and 5am.

Sollten Terroristen die technischen Fähigkeit zum Atombombenbau erlangen, hätte der Westen ein Problem. Waffenfähiges Uran ist offenbar überall im Angebot - auf orientalischen Basaren in Form loser Klumpen oder in Mini-Atombomben, die zu Dutzenden aus der ehemaligen Sowjetunion verschwunden sind.

Law enforcement officials found 16 guns in the car of a Philadelphia-area man they suspected may have been driving to the White House on Wednesday. The car was stopped at about 12:30 p.m. in the Adams Morgan section of Washington, about two miles from the White House.

One of Washington's most wanted al-Qaida fugitives was captured in Karachi in July and secretly transferred to US custody, striking a significant blow to Osama bin Laden's network, Pakistani intelligence sources have claimed. 8 detained by Dutch for aiding Al Qaeda
With growing evidence of militant Islamic activities in the Netherlands, Dutch prosecutors charged eight men on Monday with helping to recruit, house and finance fighters for the Al Qaeda network headed by Osama bin Laden.
Dutch Holding 7 Suspected Al Qaeda Recruiters Dutch authorities said today that they were holding seven men suspected of recruiting for Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda terrorist network. "We think they are providing financial and logistical support to al Qaeda and also recruiting young male persons for the jihad [holy war]," said a spokesman for the national prosecutors' office, Wim de Bruin.
