Mad Muppets top cult science poll
Don't tell the health and safety people but Dr Bunsen Honeydew and his trusty assistant, Beaker, have topped a poll of the UK's favourite cult TV boffins.
The crazy duo whose experiments usually end up destroying their Muppet Labs facility received a third of the votes.

Birt says Grade was PM's 'worst choice' for BBC job
The Prime Minister has been warned by his adviser John Birt that the choice of Michael Grade as chairman of the BBC is 'the worst public appointment' he has made.
The bitter verdict was offered in a letter to Number 10 by Birt shortly after Grade's appointment, according to new allegations made by Greg Dyke, Birt's successor as director-general. The claim, made in Dyke's new book, is likely to spark fresh anger about the influence exerted by Birt. As a Downing Street advisor, he will be party to the debate over the BBC's charter renewal and the future of the licence fee.

Sweet Jesus, I hate Bill O'Reilly, International
is an organization dedicated to the dissemination of information that exposes Bill O'Reilly for what he is: an ego-driven, biased individual who spreads fear, hate and misunderstanding. His views are firmly anchored to the political right. He works tirelessly to enrage Americans and pit them against anything he considers "liberal" or, worse yet, "secular". Mr. O'Reilly uses highly manipulative forms of presentation, phrasing and, yes, "spin".

Nun kommen die Fernsehwerke von Michael Moore auch nach Deutschland
Mancher war mal gut und ging dann zum Fernsehen, um berühmt oder zumindest berüchtigt zu werden. Der Politunterhalter Michael Moore hat dagegen mit der Flimmerkiste längst abgeschlossen, doch seine Fernsehshows sind auch heute noch Klassiker.

Greek TV suffers second Olympic blackout, prompting resignations
Greek television screens went blank for a second time in four days Saturday as state-run ET-1 television lost its Olympic signal.
The 20-minute Olympic blackout affected Greece's second-largest city, Thessaloniki, as well as northern and central parts of country, ET-1 said.

Bruce Springsteen once wrote a song about "500 channels, and nothing's on". Well, add another channel to that list of 500....The Advert Channel. As the title implies, the channel does only one thing, and that is show advertisements.

When TVs with built-in VCRs came out on the market, it was a novelty at first, but eventually became the norm. Now, Epson is chaning the norm again with a TV featuring a built-in printer and multi-memory card slot.
