The 'Bubble Baba Challenge': wilderness, water and 400 rubber women
Some Russian men and women apparently have more than enough imagination to spare — 400 of them recently used inflatable sex dolls as flotation devices to raft down the wildwater Vuoksa river.
The Fifth Bubble Baba Challenge (in Russian, baba stands for 'woman,' only unlike the other word for woman, zhenschina, conveys not a ounce of respect) took place outside the village of Losevo, about 110km from St Petersburg.

Alinghi wins the Americas Cup
The Swiss team keeps the cup after beating the Kiwis 5-2 in the final of the competition
The Swiss team Alinghi has won and retained the America’s Cup with a 5-2 final result in Valencia against Emirates Team New Zealand.
The fifth victory, with a margin of just two seconds, in the seventh regatta, and the success of the SUI-100 vessel is little surprise following the wins from the smaller SUI-91 over the past four years.

Yamakasi
The Yamakasi are a group of practitioners of the sport of l'art du déplacement (French: the art of movement).
The sport resembles, and has its origins in, that of parkour which involves surmounting (often) urban obstacles as efficiently as possible. The philosophy of the Yamakasis, however, is that of aesthetics and complete freedom of movement from point A to point B, as opposed to parkour which focuses on efficiency of movement between point A to point B, without the emphasis on aesthetics. Hence Yamakasis perform flips and tricks, while traceurs (parkour practitioners) do not.

For the record Slovenian man ends 65-day swim down Amazon River
After 3,272 miles of exhaustion, sunburn, delirium and piranhas, a 52-year-old Slovenian successfully completed a swim down the Amazon River Saturday that could set a world record for distance -- something he's already done three times before.
After nine weeks, Martin Strel arrived near the city of Belem, the capital of the jungle state of Para, ending a swim almost as long as the drive from Miami to Seattle. Strel averaged about 50 miles a day since beginning his odyssey at the source of the world's second-longest river in Peru on Feb. 1.
