Austrian Olympic figure skating gold medalist Wolfgang Schwarz was sentenced to 18 months in prison Friday for his involvement in a plan to smuggle women into the country and force them into prostitution.

Switzerland is proud to bring you
Cowfighting
Combats de Reines "battle of the queens" You have heard of bull fights. But cow fights??
The rules are simple: 8 to 12 cows are lead into a ring. The cows wander around the ring. When two cows meet who do not like each other, a fight breaks out. The cows lock horns and push against each other to see which one is stronger. (kind of like arm wrestling) the cow which breaks and runs away has lost. The cows who win go on to the next round.

Ohio man screws up to tune of $1 million
That's what you get for screwing around for eight months
Jonathan Smith got a $1 million payoff yesterday for power-drilling five screws into a piece of pine in less than seven seconds.
Sound easy? The 27-year-old carpenter from Delaware, near Columbus, was the only one out of more than 50,000 people who entered a national contest to do it. In fact, no one else did it in less than eight seconds.

Not Exactly Your Low-Scoring Soccer Match
149 : 0
Newly-crowned Madagascan champions AS Adema thrashed their opponents 149-0 in a top national league soccer match after the opposition deliberately scored one own goal after another in a protest over a refereeing decision. Radio Madagascar reported Friday that Stade Olympique l'Emyrne scored the own goals against Adema as a protest after SOE's coach Ratsimandresy RaCzarazaka lost his temper with the referee.

WHAT IS SEPAK TAKRAW ?
Sepal Takraw was created by the royal family of Malaysia about 500 years ago. The name itself comes from two languages. Sepak is "kick" in Malay, and Takraw is the "ball" in Thai. When it is born, It looked like Japanese "Kemari", and some became a circle, and a pole was kicked, and the number of times was being competed in. It looks very similar to the Japanese traditional game, "kemari" where the players form a loose circle and the number of times the ball is kicked before it touches the ground is counted. In 1965 the game was unified into the present volleyball style with the addition of a net and the adoption of international rules.

Amateurs take Field in Elephant Polo
Your mount is a two-ton beast of a breed that once stomped Asian armies into mush. You carry a slender shaft, long as a knight's lance. Your pith helmet is right out of Rudyard Kipling.
