'WinCE4.Dust' - Erster Virus für Windows-PDAs
PDAs, die mit dem Microsoft-Betriebssystem 'Windows Mobile/Pocket' arbeiten, sind jetzt auch von Virenangriffen betroffen. Der Virus 'WinCE4.Dust' breitet sich langsam aber sicher auf den mobilen Systemen aus.

IE vs. Mozilla on the Shell Hole—Whose Bug Is It?
Opinion: Mozilla exposed the scheme, opened the hole. Now it's a debate in security circles. But the only way this is a vulnerability in Windows is if it's a vulnerability for a shell to be able to run programs.

Classified data missing from US nuke lab
The US nuclear weapons research lab Los Alamos National Laboratory has lost two computer disks containing classified information, the third such incident in eight months, media reports said Saturday.
Director Peter Nanos said in a statement Friday that the loss had "once again ... brought disrepute to Los Alamos," the Los Angeles Times reported.

Schüler werden mit Überwachungs-Chips ausgestattet
An Schulen im japanischen Osaka sollen nun RFID-Chips zur besseren Überwachung der Schüler eingesetzt werden. Die in Schuluniformen oder Schulranzen untergebrachten Tags sollen an Toren und anderen Schlüsselstellen ausgelesen werden.

SP2: Sicherheitscode schon vor dem Release geknackt
Der von Microsoft entwickelte Patch Service-Pack 2 für Windows XP ist bereits vor dem eigentlichen Release gecracked worden. Die Schutzvorkehrung 'Anti-Piracy' ist somit nicht mehr wirksam.

Trojanisches Pferd notiert Kontozugangsdaten mit
Es wurde ein neues Trojanisches Pferd entdeckt, das sich über ein Pop-Up Fenster sowie eine Lücke im Internet Explorer Zugang zu einem fremden System verschafft. Das Trojanische Pferd tarnt sich auf dem System mit dem Dateinamen 'img1big.gif'.

Internet scammers appear to be using three flaws in Microsoft products to place malicious code on popular web sites. Hackers struck Microsoft's Internet Information Server web site and planted code that plants keystroke recording software.

Erstes Anti-Virus-Programm für das Handy
Vergangene Woche wurde der erste Handy-Virus "Cabir" entdeckt. Dieser kann Mobiltelefone infizieren, die auf dem Betriebssystem Symbian OS basieren und über eine Bluetooth-Schnittstelle verfügen.
Eine australische Firma hat nun das erste Anti-Virus-Programm entwickelt, das befallene Telefone von dem Virus befreien kann.
