A skull described as the oldest human fossil is more likely the head of a female ape, say leading anthropologists. Technology Could Use Moon Dust To Capture Sun Power

New technologies designed to harness the power of the sun may hold the key to successful moon colonies, cheaper and lighter-weight satellites, and cleaner-burning, more efficient car engines. Solar cells, electronic devices that convert sunlight into useful electricity, would be an important resource for powering future industrial bases or colonies on the moon.

Food scraps to power bacteria-driven battery

Food scraps once consigned to the compost heap -- or the dog -- could soon be powering a cheap bacteria-driven battery if scientists have their way. Researchers at the University of the West of England (UWE) in Bristol have developed a microbial fuel cell about the size of a mobile phone that could be powered by organic household waste.

Brava: High Tech Breast Enlargement

Women looking to enlarge their breasts now have an alternative to the operating table. This week on "Fresh Gear," we examine the Brava, a high tech, non-surgical breast enhancement system promising increased bust size in a matter of weeks.
