Robot Bird of Prey ‘Will Give Pigeons A Fright’
wo inventors have developed a flying robotic bird of prey designed to scare off pigeons and seagulls by swooping in on their territory.
Bob McIntyre, 59, and Allan Davie, 60, developed the fibreglass peregrine falcon, which can move its head and call like a real bird, to work alongside an earlier, non-flying model.
The first bird, Robop, was launched last year and the inventors hope its sibling will work alongside it to scare more birds away from farmland and fish ponds.

Humanoid robots wow Japanese
Humanoid robots, some of which can even walk on two legs, dominate the world's largest robot exhibition, held this weekend in Yokohama, southwest of Tokyo.
The show brings together more than 90 different types of robot from 38 companies, colleges and other organisations, up from last year's 72 bots.
As usual, Honda's Asimo stole the limelight in a way that would have the other automatons hopping mad.

Judging from the cooing at a demonstration of Sony's diminutive SDR robot, few would dispute just how cute the humanoid machine is.
