Aktenvernichtung beim Verfassungsschutz CSU-Experte schreibt NPD-Verbot ab
Ein Verbot der rechtsextremen NPD ist durch die Affäre um die Vernichtung von Akten beim Bundesamt für Verfassungsschutz fast unmöglich geworden. Davon geht CSU-Innenexperte Hans-Peter Uhl laut einem Zeitungsbericht aus. Das Material des Geheimdienstes könne nun leicht in Zweifel gezogen werden.

Egyptians pelt Clinton motorcade with tomatoes
A tomato struck an Egyptian official in the face, and shoes and a water bottle landed near the armored cars carrying Clinton's delegation in the port city of Alexandria after she gave a speech on democratic rights.
........Protesters chanted "Monica, Monica," a reference to the extra-marital affair conducted by Clinton's husband, former President Bill Clinton, while in the White House. Others earlier chanted "leave, Clinton" an Egyptian security official said.

"Part of the Game"-Affäre: Sieben Monate bedingt für Scheuch
Der Kärntner FPK-Chef Uwe Scheuch ist am Freitag vom Landesgericht Klagenfurt in der „Part of the Game“-Affäre schuldig gesprochen worden. Er wurde zu sieben Monaten Haft bedingt und einer Geldstrafe verurteilt. Scheuch kündigte Berufung gegen das nicht rechtskräftige Urteil an. Der Prozess musste wegen eines Formalfehlers wiederholt werden. In der „Part of the Game“-Affäre wurde Scheuch Geschenkannahme vorgeworfen. Von einem potenziellen russischen Investor hatte er eine Parteispende im Austausch gegen eine Staatsbürgerschaft gefordert.

US Gov't And Hollywood Have Turned Kim Dotcom Into A Beloved Cult Hero
Kim Dotcom is not a sympathetic individual. Anyone who's followed his career over the years (even from well before Megaupload) has known that. He's loud, obnoxious, ostentatious and seems to have little shame about his past efforts to be on the wrong side of the law. If there's anyone out there who could easily be framed as "Dr. Evil," it is Dotcom. So, it's really quite stunning to realize that the US government and Hollywood have taken perhaps the easiest person to demonize around... and turned him into a lovable "cult hero."

Schützt unsere Kinder vor sexueller Gewalt: Petition gegen Verjährungsfrist
Kinder vor Sexualstraftaten schützen: Unsere Kinder müssen dauerhaft vor Sexualstraftätern geschützt werden, aber viele Opfer sexualisierter Gewalt können teilweise erst nach Jahren oder Jahrzehnten über diese Taten sprechen.
Nach dem geltenden Gesetz verjähren aber Sexualstraftaten und somit ist eine Anzeige der Täter jedoch nicht mehr möglich und Kinderschänder und andere Sexualstraftäter indirekt sogar durch den Gesetzgeber geschützt!
Ziel der aktuellen Petition von netzwerkB bei Avaaz.org ist es, in Deutschland endlich die Verjährungsfristen für Sexualstraftaten im Zivil- und Strafrecht aufzuheben und somit einen Teil dazu beizutragen, unsere Kinder wirkungsvoller vor Sexualstraftätern zu schützen.

Merkel schwimmt auf einer medialen nationalbesoffenen Welle - Kollegen, ihr habt versagt!
„Europe’s Most Dangerous Leader“ hat das britische Magazin New Statesman Angela Merkel unlängst genannt, und im Blattinnern avancierte die deutsche Kanzlerin gleich zur „gefährlichsten Person der Welt“.
Das Resumee der gut recherchierten Story liest sich am Ende dann so: „Auf Grund ihres Realitätsverlustes und ihrer Versessenheit auf Austeritätspolitik zerstört Merkel das europäische Projekt, sie stürzt Deutschlands Nachbarn in Armut und die Welt in eine globale Depression. Man sollte sie stoppen.“

KGB vs. KGB: Putin's crackdown extends to old comrades
Arrests and intimidation of political opponents of Russian President Vladimir Putin have been on the upswing recently, extending even to a former KGB comrade of the Russian leader.
Gennady Gudkov is the last person you'd think of as a radical dissident. Yet he's been driven into a dangerous corner, and it looks like the Kremlin has set its sights on destroying him.
A former career KGB officer, Mr. Gudkov and his son, Dmitry, are both Duma deputies with the "loyal opposition" party Just Russia. The Gudkovs both became involved with the street protest movement that erupted last December in order to steer the protesters toward peaceful and constructive engagement with the authorities, the elder Gudkov insists.
But today, amid a wave of government actions that some protest leaders are calling "the shadow of 1937" – the year mass Stalin-era repressions began – the Gudkovs find themselves in serious trouble, with their family business all but ruined by a blizzard of state "inspections" and the pro-Kremlin United Russia party moving to expel them and another Just Russia deputy, Ilya Ponomaryov, from the Duma.

Durchbruch in der Syrien-Diplomatie
Ein Treffen der Vetomächte in Genf am Samstag dürfte die Wende im Syrien-Konflikt bringen. Russland gibt seine Unterstützung für Assad nach FTD-Informationen auf. Der syrische Präsident kann auf Straffreiheit hoffen, wenn er den Weg für einen Übergang frei macht.
Die diplomatische Auseinandersetzung um Syrien steht vor einer Wende. Bei einem Treffen der fünf ständigen Mitglieder des Uno-Sicherheitsrats in Genf könnte Russland am Samstag seine Unterstützung für den syrischen Machthaber Baschar al-Assad aufgeben und - wie die westlichen Staaten im Sicherheitsrat und die Arabische Liga - den Rücktritt des Präsidenten als Voraussetzungen für einen politischen Neuanfang fordern. "Wenn wir uns auf der Grundlage dieses Fahrplans treffen können", sagte US-Außenministerin Hillary Clinton bei einem Besuch in Helsinki, "dann wäre dies ein sehr sinnvolles Treffen." Voraussetzung für die Genfer Konferenz war offensichtlich, dass alle Teilnehmer zuvor dem Übergangsplan von Annan zustimmen. Wie die FTD aus europäischen diplomatischen Kreisen erfuhr, soll Russland für sein Einlenken Garantien erhalten, dass seine Interessen in der Region gewahrt bleiben.

This is an installation kit which contains the software; it also has the installation instructions, and a text file explaining how to set it up on a standalone machine if you aren't on a network.
This voter registration and voter history system has been widely criticized -- in Colorado, where it reportedly assigned voters who are Republicans as Democrats, and vice versa, and in Tennessee where it has been proven to lose voter histories.
Now you can examine it yourself.
The MS Access files contain quite a bit of source code. This set is circa 2004.

China: Arbitrary Expulsions of Tibetans from Lhasa Escalate
As many as several hundred Tibetans from eastern areas of the Tibetan plateau who live in Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region (TAR), have been arbitrarily expelled from the city as part of a drastic security drive, Human Rights Watch said today. The policy measure appears to have been taken in response to an incident on May 27, 2012,in which two Tibetan protesters from eastern Tibet set themselves on fire in front of Lhasa’s famous Jokhangtemple.
Since the Jokhang incident, security forces in Lhasa have been carrying out sharply increased identity checks on the streets of the city. Tibetans from areas where protests have recently taken place, in eastern Tibet, have been ordered to leave not only the capital, but the TAR as well. Those expelled are not known to have been accused of any wrongdoing and there are no reports to date of non-Tibetans being expelled.
