British believe Bush is more dangerous than Kim Jong-il
Carried out as US voters prepare to go to the polls next week in an election dominated by the war, the research also shows that British voters see George Bush as a greater danger to world peace than either the North Korean leader, Kim Jong-il, or the Iranian president, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. Both countries were once cited by the US president as part of an "axis of evil", but it is Mr Bush who now alarms voters in countries with traditionally strong links to the US.

Putin indicates he'll still be a player in Russia after '08
President Vladimir Putin, barred by Russia's constitution from running for a third consecutive term, signaled Wednesday that he expects to play a role in setting government policy after he leaves office in 2008.
The 54-year-old Russian leader again fended off speculation that he might be considering a way to serve another term. Supporters and various regional groups, including in Chechnya, have called for amending the country's laws to allow him to stay in power.

O’Reilly on Blogosphere: ‘I’d Go in With A Hand Grenade’
Last night on The O’Reilly Factor, political strategist Larry Sabato bemoaned the “blogs on left and right” and “the things they come up with daily, the vitriol, the vile nature of the comments.”
O’Reilly said that he knew “for a fact that President Bush doesn’t know what’s going on in the Internet.” O’Reilly then said, “I have to say President Bush has a much healthier attitude toward this than I do. Because if I can get away with it, boy, I’d go in with a hand grenade.” Watch it:

Austrian Official's Smooch Causes A Stir
Austria's finance minister is 36 and unmarried, but when he was caught kissing crystal heiress Fiona Swarovski at a Paris airport, it became headline news — in part because he was engaged to his former intern at the time.
Karl-Heinz Grasser sued the magazine News, which published photos of The Kiss, in a case that has many in this country of 8 million wondering whether politics may have begun to devolve into American-style mini-scandals that stress style over substance.

Bush: No Respect for Press or the People
To see just how Bush loves to give the press the finger, let's recall his philosophy about the press: "You're assuming that you represent the public. I don't accept that." If the press doesn't represent the public, who does? The President? With his ever-shrinking "mandate"? The Bush Administrations "fuck you" attitude towards the Press--and by extension, the American Public--is only now being discussed, as reporters are finally awaking from their stupor to realize they've been conned and scammed into being Presidential lapdogs.

For a change, it was neither President A P J Abdul Kalam nor poet-politician Atal Bihari Vajpayee who were reciting poems and couplets in Parliament, but Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, more famous for his rustic wit and humour.
