Bizarre accident damages four cars
According to Sgt. James Burdick of the North Adams Police Department, James Hancock, 77, of 17 Pleasant St., Adams, was trying to park his 1988 Oldsmobile across from Jack's Hot Dogs at about 12:20 p.m. when it suddenly shot backward, knocking over a parking meter and smashing into the 2000 Honda parked behind it. The Oldsmobile's back wheels rolled up onto the Honda's rear bumper, and its back half landed on the Honda's hood.

A 78-year-old woman has died while police searched her home near Staines in Surrey. Connie Sherwood collapsed while officers from Surrey Police searched her terraced council house in Viola Avenue, Stanwell, at 0600 BST on Wednesday. Her family said she was "frightened to death" by the dawn raid.

Ex-Lucas Employee Charged with "Star Wars" Theft
A former production assistant for Marin County-based LucasFilm, also known as Skywalker Ranch, was booked in Los Angeles County Jail Tuesday for allegedly stealing a bootlegged copy of "Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones" and circulating it over the Internet for early review. The employee, identified as Shea O'Brien Foley by Marin Deputy District Attorney Paul Haakenson, was employed by LucasFilm between September 2000 and April 2002.
