Police say burglar found in women's underwear
A man is accused of burglary after police say they found him wearing two bras, a petticoat and a pair of bright red knickers.
Kaitaia police acting Sergeant Alison Holdaway said the man was drunk and broke into a second-hand clothing store about 2.30am on Saturday.

Major blackouts hit Greece
A POWER outage hit Athens and other parts of Greece on Monday, cutting off air conditioning as temperatures pushed past 40C and blacking out most Olympic venues as crews raced to finish work before the games start.
The blackout hit more than 75 per cent of greater Athens, stranding rail commuters in the city that is home to nearly 5 million people, police said.

Plane clips van in emergency freeway landing
An Arizona man was charged with flying a plane while intoxicated Saturday after he was forced to land his plane on northbound Interstate 5 near Santa Clarita, clipping a van in the process.
Neither the pilot, 53-year-old Marc South, nor the occupants of the van were injured, California Highway Patrol Officer Brian Joy said.
