Belgium 'jailbreak king' caught
A man who escaped from a Belgian prison on Sunday has been recaptured in the neighbouring Netherlands.
Accomplices landed a hijacked helicopter at Ittre prison on Sunday, allowing Nordin Benallal to flee by car in the resulting confusion.
However, Benallal was detained in The Hague on Tuesday, after being cornered in a motorcycle showroom.

Woman escapes from German detention centre in a suitcase
A 19-year-old woman appears to have escaped from a juvenile detention centre in northwest Germany by hiding in the suitcase of a fellow inmate who was released, police said on Monday.

Ja, war wirklich Pech. Bis vor wenigen Tagen im VERBORGENEN via Google Teil des Internets zu Hause, jetzt bald berühmt. Viele PolizistInnen kennen den Verein nicht (ich habe heute 4 gefragt - einen 5ten in der Steiermark zu Hause angerufen), jetzt überlegt man sogar den "Verein Polizeifreunde Wien" aufzulösen. Diesbezüglich sind Gespräche mit dem Innenministerium vereinbart und auch mit der Polizei. Ein Netzwerk, eine Seilschaft bei welchem die röm.kath. Kirche nicht vorhanden ist ? Ja, das gibts. Anwälte sind auch nicht dabei - kaum zu glauben.

Giant stolen toilet found
Deputy C. Neely of the Kings County Sheriff's Department in Washington peers into the bowl of the giant toilet she recovered on Oct. 17 from the side side of a roadway covered with a tarp. Sheriff's Sgt. John Urquhart said the toilet facsimile was built by five friends in Colorado Springs, Colorado, and was brought to Seattle late last month for a race.

In the UK, Possession of the Anarchist's Cookbook Is Terrorism
Back in the midsts of time, when I was a lad and gopher was the height of information retrieval I read The Anarchist's Cookbook in one huge text file. Now it appears the UK government considers possession of the book an offense under the Terrorism Act 2000 and is prosecuting a 17 year old boy, in part, for having a copy of the book.
Strange that a book freely available on amazon.co.uk can get you arrested.

Handcuffed kids steal U.S. border agent car
Three Mexican minors detained in California on suspicion of smuggling drugs stole a U.S. Border Patrol car while still wearing handcuffs and drove it back across the border to Mexico.

Raiders dug 40ft tunnel to rob cash machine
A gang dug a 40 ft tunnel through soil and rocks in an attempt to raid a cash machine, police said today.
Workmen accidentally uncovered the tunnel which had been intricately constructed with scaffolding and wooden poles.
It is thought the tunnel must have taken several weeks to build.
The would-be raiders were only 15ft short of their target at a branch of Blockbuster Video at the Fallowfield shopping precinct in Manchester.

Meet Charlotte Moore. The Nevada sheriff's deputy was pulled over for drunk driving Saturday night--by her own husband, a fellow cop. The 36-year-old Moore, pictured in the below Elko County Sheriff's Office ID photo, was stopped by Deputy Mike Moore, at about 11:40 PM for some kind of moving violation.
