Tunisia seeks Ben Ali extradition from Saudi Arabia


Tunisia is formally requesting the extradition of ex-President Zine al-Abidine Ben Ali from Saudi Arabia, where he fled last month.

Mr Ben Ali flew to Saudi Arabia on 14 January after 23 years in power, after being toppled by weeks of protests.

The 74-year-old former leader is reportedly very ill in hospital after suffering a stroke.

Airport face-scanning robots switched off


Facial recognition scanners at Manchester Airport have been switched off after an incident in which the robot guard let a couple through the gate even though they had swapped passports.

An immigration officer stopped the couple after they got through the barrier.

Russian Convicted of $9 Million RBS WorldPay Hack Avoids Jail


A Russian hacker convicted of the $9 million hack of RBS WorldPay has avoided jail and has been given only a suspended sentence.

Yevgeny Anikin, 27, received a suspended sentence of five years on Monday, according to Russian state news agency RIA Novosti, after pleading guilty to what the U.S. has called “perhaps the most sophisticated and organized computer fraud attack ever conducted.”
